I’m unioning the leaves and the logs on a basic pine tree and for some reason, the selection box is way bigger than the actual tree. I’m not sure how to fix this. Any help is appreciated.
Press Ctrl + L to fix that.
Or change the PrimaryPart.
Unfortunately, none of those worked. Pressing Ctrl L just changes how I move it with the arrows. Also changing the primary part doesn’t help.
It extends out to the farthest part in the model. Look at the parts in the model, see if a far invisible part is causing this.
There aren’t any. It’s the union of the leaves that are messing it up.
You can always adjust the parts Pivot point in the pivot editor to adjust how you can locally move and rotate it, which should also adjust the selection box. Selection boxes are always wierd with unions, so don’t expect them to be perfect. They have no harm inside the game.
ik I’m a bit late to this, but here is a solution that works for me:
Union a NegatePart away from the union itself, like this. If it doesn’t work, try it again, until it works.
This actually works, it only worked for me when i selected the negative part first
