Candy Collectors

Background

Months ago I created a game called CandyLand. I had little understanding of studio, scripting, and game developing in general. But with the generous help of a scripter I managed to build and release my game in a month. CandyLand was not pretty, but I was proud of it because it was my first game!

I posted about CandyLand on the forum and received some great feedback on how I needed to improve it (see old post here → Candy Land (a new game you should check out) - #2 by AllMyHatersBroke) I wrote down all of the suggestions and left CandyLand on its own for a bit. After several months I came back to the game with a renewed mindset: I was going to make CandyLand bigger and better. CandyLand had a lot of potential (I believe) and I would have to give myself time to make it properly.

So I began changing around the map, I worked hard on it, aiming for its big revamp in the middle of June. Thus, Candy Collectors was born!

Description

Candy Collectors is an open-world, adventure game. You are tasked with exploring the lands and collecting their candies. But be warned, candy collecting is a dangerous job.

Nice Job!

I enjoy this type of gameplay for games, but it needs some things.

I feel like the music that is playing should only play in the loading screen.
and special “candy land” type music would play while you are in the game! Or! You could add music zones! (Ex: If you are in a cave, mysterious music would play. or say you are underwater, you would hear ocean sounds and ambience.)

One more thing!
You could add hats to the shop!

Thank you!

I appreciate your feedback.
Note: If you swim underwater the music does change. Also there are secret areas in the map that change music as well.

That’s a great idea for the shop! I’ll take that into consideration
