I am having a website-breaking issue across all devices. I can view some pages such as my profile, Charts, and Communities. But whenever I attempt to load any section containing avatar items (Marketplace, Avatar Customization, Inventory, Group Stores, etc.) I get an error saying “Catalog temporarily unavailable. Please try again later” or “The avatar page is temporarily unavailable” or “Internal Server Error 500 |An unexpected error occurred.”
This happens to me in Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Roblox Player, and even the Roblox mobile app. Restarting my computer did not fix anything. I also attempted to switch to my other account. The same issues still persist.
Also, in Chrome if I open the Console, every single one of these webpages shows the same error:
I think something weird is going on with both of my accounts, because none of my friends are experiencing these issues.
Expected behavior
I should be able to view any webpage, such as my Inventory or a Community Store and see all assets. I should also be able to change my Avatar appearance.
We have identified this to a bad server instance on our backend services, we have restarted the instance and errors have gone away. Please confirm that this is no longer happening for you. Sorry for inconvenience and thanks for reporting this issue!
This is still happening. It seems to only be select users; none of my friends have the same issue, however looking around online it seems to be widespread. The only way I can access my avatar, the catalog, or any other avatar service is through the Roblox app, which is very unideal when it forces you out of a game to be able to change your avatar.
The error is still not fixed! I, like many people, still have it. The error appears when using Wi-Fi networks, while with mobile Internet everything works and loads.
