On the website: I press the ‘Add Friend’ button and it says pending but once I refresh it goes back to ‘Add Friend’.
In-Game: Absolutely nothing happens when I press the add friend buttons on the esc screen and on the leaderboard.
External MediaNOTE: On other accounts the friend system works completely fine for me.
Expected behavior
I would expect the friend request to actually be sent and for the end user to receive it.
Same issue that i’ve been experiencing too. I tried to send a roblox support with all screenshots and videos about the issue, and still the support didn’t helped at nothing.
How many friends do you have?
I think the limit is 200 so if you’re at this amount it could be the reason.
I’m able to send friend requests perfectly fine. Any chance you’d be able to reset cache/cookies for Roblox and try again?

I don’t have 200 friends. It just happens every time I send a friend request.
I’ve tried everything such as resetting my whole browser, using another one, using the Roblox app from the MS store and also trying to add people on mobile but none of these attempts worked.
I keep thinking, it probably has to be some type of roblox update where they messed up with all roblox accounts, making some of them not able to send request friend anymore.
Me either, i don’t got 200 friends too. I’ve tried to unfriend and try again also, but nothing worked still.
Yeah possibly, we’ll just have to wait for Roblox Staff to reply to this issue I assume.
This issue has also been affecting me for nearly a year, and has been a major annoyance. I’d also like to provide these two videos to back-up OP’s claim.
In-game friend requests:
You can see here that the bugged account cannot send friend requests, but the “normal” account is able to send friend requests with no issues.
Issues with favouriting games:
The video OP posted is also what I experience in-browser, and also occurs via the ROBLOX Launcher. Nobody that I’ve sent friend requests to will exceed the 200 friend limit (nor am I at the 200 friend limit).
Issue is replicable on different WiFi networks, devices, browsers, and persists after clearing caches & cookies.
I am able to accept friend requests with no problem, it is sending it where issues arise.
Yep, complete same issue here. I can accept friend requests but cannot send them. I also happen to have that same favourite bug as well and I cannot like nor dislike games too.
I have that same exact issue here too. Like, i can’t really even favorite and unfavorite any game, nor even thumbs up and thumbs down games.
