Like they’ve mentioned probably over the next week or even couple of weeks, but it’s not too far away.
Yeah, pretty cool, heard his friend also got it, so that’s also very surprising. I really have no idea how Roblox picked random people, I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if some random user just received it like that, out of the blue at this point.
I mean, it’s not exactly down to money - Roblox has a pretty good track record at protecting sensitive user info.
If you don’t want to verify your ID here, that’s fine, you don’t have to and you’re not obliged to participate in voice chat.
Thanks. I was getting kind of worried because it was already rolled out for more than half of the US, so I thought there was something wrong with my account or something.
You know there’s a specific job that exists that companies offer. The job itself is meant for software engineers / hackers to find flaws and faults in security systems. I’ve seen my friend use a VM (Virtual Machine) to make his way into a companies server before (not to hack them or anything) but generally there’s always a flaw that someone can utilize to data breach. I can’t provide you proof myself as I don’t program or know much about hacking but it’s still possible.
As much as I’d love to use this feature the documentation seems to be a bit bland with features, I really do hope there’s a lot more to this rather than just a few functions for listeners.
A few functions I’d like to be added are but are not limited to
Channel Creation
:CreateChannel(id): Instance - Creates a new channel, All channels can be joined via client but if a channel isn’t public it can only be handled through the server.
.PlayerAdded(PlayerInstance): RBXScriptSignal
.PlayerRemoved(PlayerInstance): RBXScriptSignal
:GetPlayers(): table
.Range(Number): number
.Public(Bool): boolean
:JoinChannel(player, id): void - Joins requested channel, If channel does not exist It’ll throw an error or join a global channel.
:LeaveChannel(player, id): void - Leaves requested channel, Puts user into global channels.
:Mute(player, boolean): void - Still allows user to join channels but user can not speak to other players.
:Deafen(player, boolean): void - Still allows user to join channels but user can not hear or speak to other players.
This link doesn’t appear to be working for me, I keep getting directed to a “page not found” error.
Other people I’ve talked to can use it. Region-specific error perhaps (I’m up here in Canada if that matters)?
Sorry, but that won’t cut it.
Database leaks happen, however, they’re very, very rare when security is the main focus. Most company “leaks” happen because security simply wasn’t a concern for them.
These companies are specifically targeting safety and privacy. Hence why Roblox is pushing the burden to them.
Works fine over here, could be either your browser or internet connection?
Happens to me on some sites and it’s usually just my browser denying access.
Roblox It will use a third party site fo this service, it does not specify any guarantee or even the site to which it will be entrusted.
This is a big deal, no one guarantees that the data is not really saved.
I will never trust to post My id where you can find the documents all my data and a photo of my face.
Still how do you know it won’t happen in the foreseeable future? How do you know that there won’t be a flaw for a malicious hacker to utilize and breach the data of all the users. I agree it’s their primary objective to make sure the security is the main focus but if someone were to gain access to your passports / ids that’s kind of game over due to the influence Roblox has.
I’ll still be using the feature and verifying my age, but there’s always that security factor
It’s just this one page of the devhub for some reason, all the other pages work
Because it has already happened too many times in so many other sites.
And roblox is one of them has nothing special, User data is stolen for example in Bank sites that are 200% safe.
It will no longer be difficult to sell / steal in a “lego” game
How do you not know someone will have personal beef with you and specifically target your online accounts and personal devices? Those are absolutely less secure than the company.
Just as a reminder, these companies have hundreds of highly-skilled employees dedicated to keeping their infrastructure safe.
Not really. As stated numerous times before, many companies rely on external ID verification. That’s why “database leaks” don’t get so much rumble, the data is simply not there.
Google Chrome has that error, but when trying on Firefox it works…? Odd
I was selected for the Spacial Voice beta earlier, and was able to use it, but now I’m listed as ineligible. ID verification hasn’t rolled out to me yet, is this intentional?
No way I will make a photo of my ID. Ever.
You’ll hate becoming an adult then.
This is going to make social and rp games all the more fun. Can’t wait for more users to access it.
