So why would you allow any developer to enable this feature when only a limited amount can even use it in the first place? Isn’t there a way to limit it to the specific people only?
The answer is a huge lot of them.
Did you just contradict yourself since there is no way to test without being able to hear voice chat?
I’m pretty sure it’s random, and I think you also need to have a linked phone number, but don’t count me on that one.
The answer is “no”. These companies exist specifically to protect private, sensitive information in case of a data breach. It’s very much like Cloudfare, but targeted at private data protection.
Why can’t we test out VC in studio without being in the beta? Why are we forced to wait and watch as roblox mostly only adds non-top devs into the beta?
Indeed, it was randomly picked. Some front page developers were given manual access I’m pretty sure but other than that it was kind of randomly picked. Kind of a bummer it was only 5000 developers, not that I’d get into the program in the first place but yeah.
bug: VR users can’t unmute themselves… this worked yesterday…
Whats happening about the VoiceChatService API given how the majority of it’s members are developer-usable, yet they still don’t do anything.
EDIT: Modifying the VoiceChatEnableApiSecurityCheck
fflag makes the methods work?
Nothing on the internet can be fully secure.
Sound’s like a skill issue
On topic though, it should hopefully be rolled out by the end of the year. Wondering if the roadmap will receive an update though soon…
Since this debate is focusing on the topic of Age Verification, does anyone know when the setting will be rolled out to people in West USA?
Surprisingly, my developer friend with like 21 visits if I recall correctly, got VC a couple of days ago, so it’s I don’t think it’s visit-dependant either, just randomness.
Neither can your personal devices. Yet you use them daily.
Nothing is ever fully secure, it’s all about odds. And the odds clearly say specialized companies will have specialized data protection policies.
You may have to be in-game / in the beta for it to actually return something.
please stop assuming things
It’s almost impossible not to have someone hack a company, there’ll be at least a single moment where a Hacker is able to breach in due to a flaw / fault in the security. I mean I agree with you there has been a lot of data breaches before with much bigger companies than Roblox and it’s still bound to happen.
Sorry, there is no way for me to check…
Ah, I see. Kind of strange but pretty cool at the same time I suppose.

Can you provide proof it’s impossible to isolate personal information from employees or APIs?
