Update 39 wasn’t the last update lol
Update 40 (v1.3) is a major update, revamping prestiging, boosts, chests, and more.
Boosts Revamp
- Boosts now show up as icons below the roblox topbar. Hovering over a boost will list out the perks the boost gives you and the time it has left.
- Anything that gives you a perk is now a boost. This includes gamepasses, prestige perks, upgrades, v0.13.4 event benefits, and more. Gamepasses are not visible to you
- Boosts now deplete even when you’re offline. This means that a 3 hour boost when you leave will be a 1 hour boost after logging back in after 2 hours.
- Boosts can stack. If a boost perk is a multiplier, that multiplier will be exponentiated by the stack (a x2 multiplier becomes x8 with a stack of 3)
- Old boost items have been replaced with new items that still give similar boosts.
- Speed, Conveyor Speed, More Chocoblox I/II, and Cash Boosts have been replaced with Sugar, Oil, Cocoa Powder, and Cocoa Butter respectively
- There are no more server boosts, sorry
- New perks have been added
- Chocoblox luck (or chocoblox rarity luck): Makes droppers more likely to drop rarer types of chocoblox. 2x Chocoblox Luck will make gold chocoblox 2x more likely to drop.
- Crystalization luck: Makes droppers more likely to drop crystalized chocoblox
Prestige Revamp
- There is now a max prestige of 100. If you had a prestige higher than 100 before this update, you will now have a prestige of 100.
- All prestige perks have a cap. Maxing out all prestige perks gives you a total of 500 prestige tokens spent.
- Mega crates have been removed from the prestige shop, but chocoblox luck and crystalization luck perks have been added
- Prestige requirements have been made harder
- The level requirements have been changed (level 25 to prestige once)
- Crystal and gold chocoblox requirements now scale quadratically
Chest Revamp
- The “networth” of all droppers has been changed to be more representative of the amount of chocoblox it drops
- Level chest rewards have been completely revamped
- Crystals from the chest now increase quadratically
- Instead of giving you a specific boost item, it gives you a certain amount of any boost item (not limited to one). For example, at level 10, you get 5 boost items, so you could get 3 sugars and 2 oils, OR 4 cocoa powders and 1 sugar, OR 2 cocoa butters and 3 oils (I think you get the point now)
- Dark, white, and gold chocoblox chests now give much more chocoblox
- Crystal chests should give more crystals because of the networth changes
- The cash chest might give a bit more or less cash because of the networth changes
- Various cooldown changes to chests
Progression Revamp
- Almost all dropper slots have had their prices lowered
- Dropper slot 57, which is the first on the second floor, becomes available to purchase after buying dropper slot 39
- All droppers from CharlieDropper Mini to Quantux Model-CO3A have had their prices lowered
- There’s a bigger difference between the old and new prices of droppers the closer to the beginning of the game you get (CharlieDropper, Squared, and SwiftGen prices have been changed a lot, while Hite and KubeX price changes are very slight.
Playtime Rewards Revamp
- Fix: the playtime rewards UI shows up everytime
- Playtime rewards now gives a little more cash
- It now always give crystals
- It gives XP based on networth
- It gives a boost item for every 2 rewards after the 2nd reward (so you’ll get 1 on the 2nd reward, 2 on the 4th, 3 on the 6th, etc. You’ll still get an item on an odd reward)
- Every 60 minutes, you get a Black Dropper Skin
Other Changes
Tutorial Changes
- Some tutorial text has been changed to prevent confusion
- New mid-game tutorial
- Explains big droppers and where they are placed
- Explains prestige
Other
- Silver and gold dropper skins are now permanent and non-tradable. However, there is a limit to the amount of those dropper skins you can have. Currently, the only way to obtain them is through the prestige shop
- Red, green, and blue crates have been deleted
- Sell/remove all button in your bag
- Made crystal rewards from achievements much higher
- Renamed the Tall Towers area to Sky-High Spires
- Black dropper skins are now buyable through the Graydient shop
- More crystals in the crystal caverns
Silly me, the story of Chocoblox Factory Tycoon never comes to a close! It has just slowed down. You could say that Update 40 is the unofficial start to the 5th anniversary celebration, which is the whole reason I made Update 40. Stay tuned for an update about the development of Chocoblox Factory Tycoon in August! There might also be a reveal towards the new… wait, WHAT’S THAT IN THE SKY?
