The Winter Event 2021-2022 is here!
Update 30
This update is the main winter event update. It includes crafting, the winter map, and more!
Map Changes
- Lots of fallen trees/tree branches, ripped up festival banner
- The Molten Monster is captured!
- Map is snowy!
- New Clouds feature implemented
- It’s foggier the farther from you
- ColorCorrectionEffect added
- Map shortened
Improvements
- NPC camera angle when you talk to an NPC
- NPC idle animation
- Meteorite, Moltenite, and Levels removed
- Stats UI bigger, at the bottom left of screen (computer)
- Menu buttons are now at the bottom middle
- Rebirth statistics are shown at your tycoon
Other Changes
- Purchasable objects on the first floor of tycoon pushed back a bit
- All chocoblox machines are synced
- Updated “See Player Stats” UI
- New secret NPC, also some “Volunteers” that are cleaning up
- Some NPCs’ dialogue changed
- Cash values for machines tweaked (not on purpose, because I deleted every machine script because they are now synced in one script)
- Crystals are blue to fit the icon for it
- Mobile sprint uses ContextActionService (again I’m pretty sure)
- Mark will give you rewards even if you haven’t finished his quest, then you won’t be able to receive quests from Mark
- NPCs that you can talk to have a nametag similar to how players have a nametag
- Other tweaks, changes, and improvements
Winter Event 2021
It’s been the summer event for the entire Fall. Very much on time! Now it’s the winter event. Some lore: The Molten Monster and its minions have been captured, but they took a long time to capture (excuse for not getting rid of the summer event), so they destroyed a lot. People are helping to clean up.
What do you do in the winter event? Well…
Every 15-minute intervals (4:00, 4:15, 4:30, etc.), a snowstorm will happen. During a snowstorm, snowflake tokens will pop up. Getting them gives you the event currency, Snowflakes. You can also get snowflakes from your tycoon. Chocoblox has a chance to give snowflakes instead of cash. Sam has a snowflake shop set up and you can buy materials such as yarn or wool for snowflakes. These materials can be used in a new feature that will stay but is currently used for the winter event, called Crafting. You can craft items such as mittens or stockings using the materials.
Victor, who gave out quests during the summer event, will give out quests during the winter event. If you have a quest from the summer event, Victor will end it but give you 50 snowflakes, and then he will reset your amount of quests completed. If you completed a quest during the summer event, Victor will still reset your amount of quests completed. Victor’s quests are now different. In Collecting Cocoa/Crystals quests, the amount needed is now different. There are four new quests for craftable items. You’ll need to give them to Victor, however, not get them.
Icy the Snowman is here! He only has one quest: give hot chocoblox to Icy. Hot chocoblox can be crafted using Cocoa (the currency) and Cocoa Powder (a material). The amount of hot chocoblox increases with the number of quests completed.
Update 31
This update is a follow-up to Update 30. This update is a little smaller but still has many improvements. Crafting slots, a quest rewards overhaul, revamped settings menu, and many more things are in this update!
More Improvements
There are many more improvements! A revamped settings menu, new settings, notifications are also in the chat, and the ability to choose a certain amount of items to buy in the snowflake shop are just some of the improvements in this update!
Crafting Slots
Instead of having to wait an hour for crafting, you can now split them up and make it 30 minutes, or 20 minutes! There are now up to 3 crafting slots and a new section called Food and Drink, where you can make Hot Chocoblox and…
Cookies
Cookies are a new type of item that you can use. They grant random boosts. There are currently:
- Chocoblox Chip Cookies: They give a random 10-minute boost
- Cinnamon Chocoblox Chip Cookies: They give two random 15-minute boosts
- Triple Chocoblox Chip Cookies: They have a 25% chance to give a 30-minute boost of any type, a 50% chance to give three 10-minute boosts of any type, and a 25% chance to give two 10-minute boosts of any type.
Quest Rewards Overhaul
Victor’s new quest rewards include Cookies, Cocoa Powder, and sometimes special items such as Snow Charms. You’ll get them way faster. You get a Snow Charm at your 5th quest, a Silver Snow Charm at your 10th, and two Silver Snow Charms at your 15th. Every 5th quest after your 15th, you get Silver Snow Charms and Triple Chocoblox Chip Cookies. Icy also gives Cookies and gives a Snow Charm every 5 quests and not every 10.
Other Changes
Cocoa Powder is no longer a requirement for Hot Chocoblox, and now has a use! It grants a 20-second cocoa boost but has a 2-minute cooldown. Hot Chocoblox now requires 150 cocoa instead of 100.
