Choppy/Stuttery sounds

Lately in my game Guts & Blackpowder there has been an issue happening for a small number of players, where their sound effects will go really choppy and pretty much ruin the game for them. I don’t exactly know how to reproduce this given that it only seems to happen to so few players. Even just spawning 10 zombies, which each have their own voice sound for emitting groans, will cause this issue to occur, and then it resolves once all the sounds stop playing. I don’t know if it’s related, but they tell me this also results in their frame-rate dropping significantly until the sounds cease. I was told that this issue doesn’t happen on the Microsoft store version of the app.
This bug seems like it’s related to an older bug reported years ago here: Sound Engine Broken - Choppy / Nonexistent Sounds

Video from a user with the following specs: i5-13600kf, AMD RX6600 8gb, and 48 gb of RAM

Video from the same users as above.

Video from a user with the following specs: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G 3900 Mhz 6 core. 16gb of RAM. AMD Radeon RX 5500 4GB

Again, sorry I can’t figure out how to reproduce this issue because it just doesn’t occur on most computers, including mine, seemingly.

they haven’t fixed this I’m getting annoyed (what i know): so erm this happens when theirs tons of sounds and stuff happening very much when you have effects like equalizers and reverb and Compressers (sorry i type bad) look at this Audio goes rouge in-game

Hi @Fezezen thanks for the report. Can we ask if you are using Sounds or the newer AudioPlayer?

I probably should have closed this since I haven’t gotten reports about this happening in my game for a while, but the game uses Sounds, not the new Audio API.

sometimes u just gotta face that roblox studio is kinda buns. ur gonna have to wait til they fix it directly or find a tedious work around
