I know this will come off as a bit rude, but why can’t ROBLOX mind their own business about any code of ours that is private? Sure it makes sense to moderate assets that are public, but this is an invasion of privacy. Besides, this is not only silly, it also seems exploitative; The idea of a moderator having access to anybody’s code means that they can use it as well, if they so please. This isn’t right, and the fact that this has only been publicly announced AFTER, not prior to, all of this taking place, is pretty messed up in its own right. Looking at this, I can say with certainty that I have more respect for those who break the rules than those who enforce them.

If you reclarify this, why the are you doing any of this in the first place? Absolutely nothing we do at all in a script is sent to the client to publicly view?

Even if the members of this team are trained for this, I store information in my scripts that are used for automation with in Roblox and other offsite applications. I understand they are Roblox staff but that still makes me worry for the security of my groups, games and, external bots.

Well its not really that far, automated moderation is bad enough, several accounts have been falsely banned for no good reason.

Well I can. Private Code has no need to be moderated, especially when people use API Links, and other things that lead to SAFE off-site things, but things that are STILL private. Roblox is digging its hole deeper every update
What if I have obfuscated code, that is 100% impossible for anyone to read. Would I get banned for having obfuscated code in my game just because moderators assumed the obfuscated code had a bad word in it?

Another issue roblox is already back logged with issues it now takes up to a week for you to get a human to replay to you. So do scripts priority for viewing by the roblox staff team or do we have to wait up to a month for it be viewed by these so called “trained” people.

Why would you even FILE a lawsuit in the first place, just for your code? Is there personal information with regards to your code and is it a HUGE problem? If so, continue with what your doing. I have no reason to stop you. Good luck.

LOTS OF DEVELOPERS would have! API Links, Webhooks etc.
Unless the code is PUBLIC, they have no right or need to do this

There’s also a concern of people not knowing this rule(lol like all of us). I always looked into more help with coding through forums and even then I never really looked through the announcements tab until like this month. I can imagine a more experienced coder/programmer coming onto the platform for some easy fun or even a beginner trying to learn, putting hours into a script and coming back with a ban and possible hours of work lost. If they are going to keep this there needs to be a period where after you get notified you actually have a chance to change the code to fit the standard instead of insta ban with moderator message. Or at least when someone opens studio for the first time. A reminder stating that “You are being watched.”

Not rumours but ok. And there is plenty of PUBLIC Proof on how bad roblox moderation is, I highly doubt anyone with some common sense and veteran badge on roblox would trust Roblox Staff THAT much

Everyone is in a bad spot right now thanks to this new rule, but don’t you think it would be best if we spent more time trying to find ways around this than finding things to say about this? I’m not saying anything to encourage this, as I hate it just as much as you do. So if they aren’t going to listen to us, maybe we don’t listen to them.
