Log/dump files were attached to the internal ticket by a Roblox Staff (@Focia19), due to the sensitive information they may contain, will not be shared publicly!
Troubleshooting steps tried so far:
Deleting the Roblox installation folders and reinstalling
Creating and installing Roblox on a new Windows user
Clearing temporary files/cache
Running robloxplayerbeta as administrator
Running with all unnecessary programs closed
Running after restarting PC
Running after clean boot
Scanning for system file corruption. No corrupt system files were found.
Error codes in the dump suggest the application encountered a memory access violation. I performed a full memory integrity test to determine if the memory access violation could have occurred due to faulty memory. The memory integrity test found no indications of memory corruption, so this issue is unlikely to be the result of malfunctioning hardware.
I’ve also ran into this issue on a PC. Similar repro of playing an experience, sometimes it locks and then shuts down to desktop other times it will just hard crash to desktop. No errors are displayed.
Additionally, it seems to crash while the client is open on my home page, even if no experience has been loaded. I’ve been trying different things over the week since I made the initial bug report, but haven’t found a way to prevent or delay the client from crashing
Did some more testing and it seems like Roblox Studio is not affected by this bug. I was able to use the player and the editor in Studio without it crashing
Crashes are not caused by any of those things. If Roblox crashes, that is definitely within Roblox’s purview to fix.
It is very strange that it happens after 2 minutes. Perhaps there is some software you have that tries to attach to Roblox’s process, but does something different after the 2 minute mark?
Do you use any GPU analytics software like RivaTuner? That appears to be the culprit for a lot of people’s problems with Hyperion (Hyperion also only exists in the Player, not Studio), it could be some setting in that.
You may want to create a new user account on Windows and test it there.
Roblox sometimes SID bans people, SID is the security identifier used for your Windows user account.
Roblox’s HORRIBLE Hyperion anti cheat also conflicts with framerate monitoring software such as RivaTuner Statistics Server (included with MSI afterburner). You may also want to open that app from your system tray and open it’s settings. Then you scroll down and tick the option to use Microsoft Detours API hooking, and also click clear cache. After that, click OK.
Dude, Windows 11 22H2 and 23H2 are built on the same codebase Nickel
And 23H2’s updates most of the times are also available on 22H2
23H2 is JUST an enablement package which adds new features to the OS, without an OS build codebase change. You are STILL using Nickel codebase (ni_release) just like in 22H2, even IF YOU upgraded to 23H2.

He only missed a update (or a enablement package) for 23H2 and that’s about it
I’ve tried that, but it seems to have no effect what’s causing the crashing. I also don’t have Afterburner or Rivatuner running on my system, so it isn’t that. Since the forum staff are able to see my dump files and approved my report instead of telling me this was a Hyperion crash, I am assuming there’s something else going on here.
I also went through and checked to see if these crashes could have been caused by any software changes on my side. The only changes that occurred on the same day I started experiencing crashes were some security and feature updates from Windows. I’ve since reverted those updates in case they might have been the source of the crashing, but that didn’t help.
Aside from that, Windows 23H2 hasn’t been fully rolled out yet and is not currently available for my device without enabling preview updates (Which most people probably don’t want to have on)
Today the crashes are behaving different from how they were earlier. Instead of crashing after a consistent amount of time, Roblox now crashes anywhere between 10 minutes and 20 seconds after launching
Would be nice to at least hear back from someone on the staff team regarding my dump files. It’s been a week now since I initially sent them and I’d like to be able to get back to what I was working on instead of trying to troubleshoot an obscure error code that I can’t fully debug since I don’t have access to any source files
