I suppose it is. Any thing you find wrong with this? The way you typed that makes me feel that you don’t seem to be satisfied with the looks and idea of this resource.
Just using a uneditable TextBox be good enough. That’s basically what this module does.
You’re right but a simple “uneditable TextBox” can’t be as much convenient as a module.
This module removes the hassle of having a textbox. It does it for you. It’s what makes this module actually useful.
It seems it just styles that box as an official CoreGui system. That’s fine and all, but a TextBox inside of your UI would suffice, and would better support Console users and UI libraries like Fusion. If your dying to save space and only use a clipboard button, this module would be good for you.
It doesn’t “just” styles a box as an office CoreGui. No. It offers more features which I listed. For instance, auto text selection, copy detection, descriptions and copy callback. I know I’m overexaggerating the features here but can you achieve that with a simple “textbox”? Of course, you can get auto text selecting just by editing a few properties but everything else isn’t really possible unless you have a dedicated system.
So your main concern here is the fact that this module is not pure script and has other instances correct? Personally, it is kept that way to allow users to better modify the GUI as not everyone would want the Core Roblox Prompt to appear to copy things.
But if you’re really dying to use a UI library like Fusion then the user themselves could to that. Or I’ll do you one better. I’ll do that.
