Hey there! I am Sky, a UI designer who wants to have some experience! I am offering free services to people who would like me to do some UI for them. I will have some examples to show you all so you can see what kind of UIs I can do. I just want to point out that I am a beginner and I do not use any software such as Adobe Photoshop to make my UIs. I make some UI on Roblox Studio now and more UI on Google Drawings and I add final touches(if I can) on Pixlr. Additionally, you can only pick from these certain examples. If you don’t see any UIs that you would like, tell me on the Roblox Developer Forum by messaging me privately, or tell me right here and tell me what kind of UIs you would like and maybe give me so references so I can see exactly what you would like and see if I can do those certain UIs. Also, sorry if the colors of my UIs are too bright, I can change the colors to darker colors for your UIs if wanted!
Hey man, what’s your discord? I have a game and be willing to give you revenue anyway once I get sales
Edit: Sorry I didn’t read everything I’m Ryan5374#6724
This is some good starting work man. I would recommend looking into colour palettes and observing what colours work best with other colours.
Also! You should not put white text on yellow background (or vice versa), the contrast is way way too little and will give user’s a headache, it will also be illegible to those with less-than-average eyesight.
If you need any help, or pointers, feel free to shoot me a message!
I don’t need your services but I will share some advice that I have learned through experience.
First of all, if you’re using TextScaled for your buttons, you should make a TextBox and resize it so the text is always shorter than the length of the TextBox no matter what the resolution is. The text should always be touching the top and bottom of the TextBox. This means you use the same button for similar buttons with different text and the text size will be always be the same, but it will still scale depending on the resolution. It makes everything look more consistent and comfortable. Buttons that stand out in unintended ways look unprofessional and confuse the user. The white lines in the attached image below represent the upper and lower boundaries of text boxes you could use.
Also, you should use complimentary colours which are more comfortable to look at and easier to read. And generally all text should be black or white in order to increase readability, so you should have a consistent light or dark theme. Reading all different colours of text over bright backgrounds such as the one in the first and last examples you posted can actually cause eye strain for some people.
Finally, add some padding. You can’t just much worse than text that is touching the outline of the button.
I highly suggest branching out of roblox and using softwares like Adobe XD, google drawings, and if you decide that your really interested then I suggest a software called Adobe Illustrator unless you want something which is a one time fee then I suggest using Affinity Designer. (This is for the designs not the functionality of the User Interface)
