CLOSED Feedback on my 6th, 7th & 8TH GFX!

What do you want to achieve?

I want to achieve a professional-looking GFX like this

What is the issue?

The GFX looks like it’s just come out of Blender 2.8.1 Eevee render and doesn’t look how I want it to be.

What solutions have you tried so far? (ON NEWEST ONE)

  • Adding Gradients
  • Smooth looking character
  • Using cycles instead of Eevee

My GFX.

If you think I got to my goal say “I think you got to your goal” for me.

If you would like me to use a certain map for my next GFX DM me on the DevForum the link and I will use it!

I’d suggest using blender to create 3D environments, i’d also work on the lighting and make it brighter so the character stands out more. Keep up the good work tho, you will slowly improve with time.

Ok, but you said that on my last one.

If you want a good tutorial on blender search CG Fast Track on YT, i used this tutorial and its very helpful. It shows you how to 3D model, create your own environments and how to do cinematic lighting.

YouTube is blocked on my network.

Even though I do not use Blender, I would recommend you use HDRI’s and better lighting, For example Area lightings or just the normal light and add effects where needed (e.g Glow). In low-poly GFX’s try not to use Shadows which would give it a realistic feeling. And Practice using YouTube Tutorials, There are plenty out there. Also try learning on how to use Photoshop, Could give the effects a more aesthetic look.

I recently got a new computer and I’m too lazy to download Photoshop. xD

I would recommend using Blender since it can help you make your GFX’s 3D and also can have a really good quality with lots of features.

I’m in Blender see image

Just want to point out that if you’re asking for feedback, I’d recommend at least considering the feedback.
From what I’ve read, it almost feels like you’re neglecting the feedback you receive.

“I’m too lazy” should never be an excuse to improve on yourself or your product, right?
Photoshop is the ‘industry standard’, but there are alternatives that are free.

If Youtube is blocked on your network, then there’s always other video websites that may serve as a substitution.

The reason why you may see repetitive feedback is because people may feel you’re not accepting the feedback. Correct me if I’m wrong, excuse me if I am, but it’s important in general to handle feedback.

I’d recommend checking out a few articles or videos about perspective and colours. I’m not a pro on GFX, but I’m certain those two subjects are mandatory for improvement.

Finally I’d suggest making clear what the image you made should present. Make the image tell a tale, whether it’s for commercial purposes (like the example you gave) or something else doesn’t matter.
Right now I can’t really see what the character in the forest is doing. I’m thinking around vampire (because he holds his arm as if he is one) or the person is looking at his watch.

Best of luck to you!!

Ah I did not notice you moved topics! Apologies.
However, to prevent the forum being filled with similar topics, I’d recommend perhaps replying to this topic with the improvements you’ve made?

Honestly you have made amazing progress I suggest you open up commissions considering the quality of your work and I believe you should work on the scenario when you are creating the GFX more.

Woah this is good you came along way from your first to your 6th and 7th I think it’s really nice

I suggest you add a Blur into studio when you are working with Low-Poly builds. This makes it smoother and cleaner. Also, don’t just show the basic skybox backround. It looks better if you take a picture with minimal skybox.
