Commander | Open Sourced Admin Panel

Wow, that’s quite a big update. I’m excited to try it out!

Thats good to hear, I like when developers work on their codebase to make it more maintainable

Custom Commands in Commander used to be consider as “Packages” which are basically just Custom Commands.

I say “used” because the Package API for Commander v1 will not be backwards-compatible with the up-coming Commander v2 and that the API for packages in general will soon be deprecated because @7kayoh is trying to find a replacement for packages that works better.

I suggest you wait for v2 to come out before making custom commands.

It will work, but since v1 will be deprecated and no longer be updated, I wouldn’t recommend using v1 after v2 comes out.

And custom commands you make for v1 WILL NOT work with v2.

As for the release of v2, its sooner than you think.

V1 will still work, even after V2 is released. However, no updates/support will provided as V1 is now marked as an EOL product (mentioned in 1.5.0 release). V2’s package system is 100% incompatible with V1 though.

V2 will be released within this year’s late-Q1 or Q2, feel free to check our Kanban board.

I understand. Are you planning on making any changes to the website?

There’s a new website now thats under construction. Join the Discord server to get the link.

Idk if this still is a thing but can you add temp ban.

Hey for some reason, i cannot update the module from 1.4 to 1.5, does anyone know why?

So, you’re saying there’s a possibility for a release today? /s

Unfortunately, no. Its set to release either in Q1 or early Q2

I have tested it and it is pretty good!

use the web requested version 30charassrsar

Small changes

Hey! There is a relatively small change regarding Commander, while this change is not related to the source code and will not affect the current workflow. I’d still like to announce it here.

Commander now resides in github.com/frappedevs. This means that the ownership of Commander is no longer Evo Incorp, but Frappé Development.

As that, the copyright holder is now changed from Evo Incorp, to Frappé Development.

Concerns

Q: Oh no! Do I have to update anything? Do I need to reinstall Commander?? Do packages work anymore after this transfer?

A: Do not panic, the transfer will not affect any workflow. When visiting GitHub - 7kayoh/Commander: Your next admin system, you will be redirected to https://github.com/frappedevs/commander. For Git users, you do not need to update your remotes, they will be updated in the next sync.

There will be a new administration system called Panels (temporary name), stay tuned!

Thank you for the update; I appreciate it.

Hey there! There is another admin command panel by the name Cmdr. This sounds a lot like it and may confuse a lot of people.

Cmdr isn’t a panel, it is a console

That is nothing like your panel if you watch the video it is not your panel. Only the thumbnail is using your panel and that is to show that it is basically Your panel plus discord logging. Please spread awareness to your community because people are hating at me in my comments for it

Great admin panel, however I’d like to know how to access the API and run the functions?

Hi, I wanted to ask if commander is dead? I used it for a long time now and I wanted to search something in the docs but I can’t find them anywhere anymore. I went to the Frappé Development GitHub Profile but there isn’t a commander repository, also most of the links were broken.
Thanks
