[CONFIRMED PROJECT] Conejin: The Great City Adventure!

[Warning: some features of this game are not confirmed]

So, i already made a post of this game, which was uncompleted and in that moment, the game was not confirmed:

Well, now i have confirmed the game, its an open world MMORPG themed in a comic created by me and my brother, and i want to explain better how this game is going to be:

Gameplay:

You can make fights with swords and pipes in real time! If you want to take this more seriously, you can try those fight modes:

Card fight (Now is a minigame)

Inspired in Clash Royale: Here, you can do a pvp with cards! Yeah, that’s what you saw, cards! You can get cards which unlocks a character to use it in this fight! You must destroy the Spawner of the other team, each card costs an amount of a powerful mineral, to obtain them, you must place a generator of that mineral (with a card) or automatically, wait to get some minerals to fight.

Instense fight (Now is a minigame)

Inspired in Mortal Kombat: Here, you can fight like a real god, you can make fights with special powers, you can throw your enemy to a planet, and that stuff! You might know Mortal Kombat, so i don’t need to explain everything (Also, there are not fatalities, so we can upload this game to Xbox)

The player can interact with players, he have some options:
-Add as friend: You can add him as friend, so you can invite him to your house, or ask help for fight.
-Send duel request: If you want to duel a person, 1v1, then ask him to make a duel in the undergrounds!
-Trade: I don’t need to explain, you can trade stuff.

How the player can interact with the game?

I just got this question in the other post, so i will answer it:

You can explore the entire open-world map, in the island, you can find Dungeons, facilities, laboratory stations, ruins of places, villages, among other things, in those sites, you can find shops, quests, npcs to talk, enemies, and more fun activities!

There’s a site where you can rob a bank, to get the cash, you must get the cash to your house!

You can also find NPCs which you can fight and loot their inventory!

There are also sites where you can do a job, if you are poor, then get a job!

What other stuff the player can do instead of fighting?

I’m trying to make a House system, where you can place furnitures and some stuff like Minigame Arcades, Potion Maker, and other stuff.

I think thats a fun activity.

He can go to the Team Conejin base in the underground, where you can find the Shop, and an Arcade:

Arcade:

In the arcade, you can play some fun minigames:

Zombie escape: You are trapped in a school, and some zombies are chasing you, you got some scooters, and you must get to the exit of the school, which looks like a maze, the last player left will get eaten by the zombies, there will be more rounds, and the last player surviving, will win.

Ice drawing: You are Snowjin, and you must use your ice powers to draw what the game says, for example: Apple! You have 2 minutes to draw an apple, when the timer reachs to 0, the players must vote to a masterpiece, the one with the most votes will win!

Star Shooting: You are a Star, and you must avoid some meteors, try to survive the time that you can! More time surviving: More cash you get.

Truck Madness: You are a truck, and you must try to hit some Deberes (a character) and the player with most hits, will win.

Shop:

In the shop, you can buy useful stuff to fight, some features, and more stuff!

Everything that can give you a benefict cannot be bought with robux.

If you dont like what you bought, the you can ask for your refund of 50%!

Well, i want to say some features of this game:

Features:

If you want to go to a site, you can go to a teleport station (Inspired in Dark Souls and script made by x_o’s open sourced script) and teleport to a site! But that costs money (in game money)

You can customize your character as you like!

You can make your story! You can become an official of the Team Conejin! Or become a very wanted thug! But that depends of what you do in the game, and what chooses you do, or not helping the Team Conejin!

For now, thats what i have, well, now i want to ask some questions:

Would you play it?

Do you like it?

What i should add or remove?

Ideas for the game?

I think my MMORPG game is not very original, and i want to keep every game that i make, original, or something that is not like any other MMORPG.

Any message do you want to leave?

Thanks for reading :+1:

This is my biggest project, so please, don’t be too rude

I’m going to be as honest as I can when I answer these questions.

Would you play it?
Yes. I would. The simple fact is I’m interested in MMORPG games as a rule, so I’d like to try anything new that comes out on the market.

Do you like it?
No. For a ROBLOX game, it feels like it’s trying to cover too much ground too quickly. Most games have one or two main focuses, whereas, in the above, you have purported to have two separate fighting systems AND an arcade mode with four completely unrelated game modes. For why, please click and read below.

mode-frenzy

I want to explain two main points: oversaturation and overcomplication.

Oversaturation occurs when a person, place, or thing receives too much of one specific stimulus (Think a sponge soaking up too much water). In your description above, you are offering what is essentially four different games in one, oversaturating your game with choices for the player. As you said, this is intended to be an MMORPG, and thus, you do need a certain breadth of game types for players to enjoy. However, specifically with your two separate combat systems, you’re dividing the player base along the lines of which system they prefer. Essentially, you will either kill one-off entirely or end up with a split audience that can’t fully enjoy the game with the other half, and that is not conducive to a successful MMORPG. To summarize, the fact that there are so many different ways to play in the game makes it incredibly difficult to manage for all the players involved. This leads to my second point, overcomplication.

Overcomplication occurs when something is made far more extensive, intensive, or otherwise drawn in one direction or another beyond what is necessary. In this case, you’ve made your combat system(s) overcomplicated. The fact that there are two underlines this. MMORPGs, almost universally, have ONE combat system that unites the players and makes it possible for the games to exist successfully. By overcomplicating it, you force players to specialize in just one, not only dividing your base but also forcing players to sometimes play an entirely different version of the game they already are enjoying. This is unnecessary, and will only lead to problems down the line.

What should I add or remove?
I’d remove one of the combat systems and focus primarily on the other, and maybe add the arcade a LONG way down the line. Otherwise, the problems described in “mode frenzy” will develop.

Ideas for the game?
MMORPGs are most successful when the atmosphere is incredible. Heck, any game with an incredible environment and setting is awesome, not just MMORPGs. Take the original Halo trilogy(Including ODST and Reach). Even before the anniversary graphics, those games fully immersed the player on the rings and planets, and as a result, players took the time to explore and enjoy every aspect of the game. While that may be outside your scope for the time being(or because of ROBLOX engine limitations), I can still see you managing to pull together a talented combination of scripters, builders, artists, and composers to make this a special game. Heck, I’d even be willing to work with you on that!

Any message do you want to leave?
I like this game concept. It’s nothing new, but it’s certainly got potential, especially if you put in the time and effort to make it good. Accept nothing as “good enough,” and you will always be ahead of most developers here. I hope you manage to get a team together sometime to pull this off because I would be excited to see the result. Good luck!

Thanks! Well, i decided to keep one fight mode, which is that i have mentioned:

The others two are not going to be added, maybe they are going to be minigames.

Thanks for answering!

Hi @Conejin_Alt! I want to recommend that you keep some of the features out of the game. I am not sure which ones, but I feel like there is too much stuff in your game since it is an open-world game. I think I would play it, since it is an interesting game, so good luck!

Thanks! Do you know any good idea that i should add in this game? Since looks like alot of people doesn’t like this game.

Since, this is a story game (well, somewhat), maybe you can have a main storyline and then quests that contribute to different branches of the story.

Yeah, there’s a main story, i like to make stories, thanks for helping!

No problem! Good luck with your game!
