Console Game Chat

I was looking into ways for enabling chat for console users and I can’t seem to find any methods, is this even possible at all?

I think it’s against TOS for you to implement console game chat, it goes against the console guidelines. I would be careful doing this.

Yes. At this moment, there are no console-specific requirements outside of the best practices outlined in the new console guidelines. All old requirements that are not on the new guidelines are outdated and no longer needed.

I don’t know if this still stands though, just be careful.

Honestly, if you wanted to communicate on console, you could probably have a GUI that has pre-filled out text chat to send to the player and once they click it you can just make a frame of the verbiage appear on their screen.

That’s just how I would go about doing it but, making pre-filled out text chats is probably annoying.

I’d wait for Roblox to fully release chat to consoles for everyone. It should be allowed when that happens, but it might not.

You think that even a system in which the user in console can’t actually chat, but see what other players say in platforms like PC and mobile would be breaking TOS too?

Chat is on console now, so having console players see chat or being able to chat is no longer against TOS
