The Creator Hub’s configure page refuses to change the name and description of a game we’re attempting to update. It also seems to affect our other games as well.
Expected behavior
Creator Hub successfully applies new name and description changes
“Unknown Error, please try again later.”
^ New game name is only visible when you click “Translate to Original Language” on the game page (not sure why this option even appears). See below:
“New universe name or description has been rejected. Name, Description could not be saved. Please try again.”
^ I hope it’s not the filter because there is NOTHING wrong with this name or description, especially since the original was the same thing except with the name being Av instead of Lines.
(And yes, I did “try again.”)
Oh, and it’s not “Newport.”
Is “PTA Subway” the issue? I sure hope it isn’t because the “subway” aspect is the main selling point of our games and this is part of the existing names which have (obviously) already been allowed. Is the filter rejecting this for some reason, or is it another reason?
Some extra statistics: our group has 37K+ members waiting for this game to release while we work on it. I don’t think the name and description is what should be stopping us.
This issue is so stupidly annoying. An engineer needs to go through the code for this UI and the API responsible and clean it up drastically. I had the “unknown error” issue and clicking around a little bit and then going back to the page a little later and trying again fixed the issue…
The filtering is also ridiculous. I’m trying to remove one paragraph of text from my game’s description and it won’t even allow it.
Just experienced this “unknown error” issue again, but this time, when reloading the page, it actually showed the updated description, so the issue seems to be that it’s throwing an error when the request is actually successful.
I am also unable to update my experiences name, description, or its players per server limit.
This is not a problem with the creator hub, trying to update the name and description through studio also gives an error.
@Real_BenTheMiner I’ve been informed that the bug was fixed and on my end I am now able to update my experience’s information, you should try updating your experience’s information now to see if it is also working for you!
I’d understand if they missed a single post that had no replies to bump it, but its really bizzare that they didnt reply at all…
