its been 1 year since this has popped up
I’m having an issue: no one can buy my plugins, even though my status is green and “Approved for distribution.” When they try, they get the error: “Purchasing coming soon. Stay tuned!”
Also, the “Edit Account Info” button doesn’t work and shows an “Unknown error.”
Just seeing this now, and im actually sad to hear that we won’t be able to purchase plugins anymore…
It’s very heart breaking to see Roblox make our lives absolute hell by doing this, current USD system is insanely bad, first i tried setting up a new paypal account just so i can buy a plugin but it turned out that stripe didn’t even show it as a valid option.
Second thing i tried was buying a giftcard because as far as im aware they worked with for an example Experience Subscriptions so i figured that they might work for plugins. But yeah it turned out that giftcards are also not supported!
Just why Roblox, without the ability to buy plugins you ruined one of the most important features that Roblox Studio had to offer, branding roblox as the platform that focuses on letting everyone show off their creativity (Obviously branding roblox as a very accessible and easy to use platform for all ages while more and more features are being restricted to users 18+), and not to mention that certain players can’t even make USD purchases since their countries are not supported yet. That’s just sad to see but i guess it is what it is.
I hope someone does something about this as soon as possible, i understand that because of some legal issues you can’t add both Robux & USD options but if you can’t find a way to fix this, just please for the love of god and your community revert back to the Robux system we once had until you find a way to make the new one actually good. (I do see how USD can benefit certain developers but it also does limit an insane amount of people from using this useful feature)
I remember when I posted this, it’s been almost a year and we still don’t have any robux option… my robux were stolen by some chrome extension with viruses and roblox support just dont works, i cant buy anything and I never imagined that one day I would be truly poor, that day is today.
