The frame rate limiter is currently only able to be used with these presets (60, 120, 144, 240). It is possible to change this by internal configuration, but this is not ideal.
I use a 165Hz monitor, so it would be beneficial for me to set a custom frame rate, or at least to sync to my monitor’s refresh rate, so there are no frames wasted.
As someone else who also uses a 165Hz monitor, yes. I had my best experience using a limit of 185 FPS, but now I either go below my refresh rate or high above it.
Even an option in-between would be nice, like a 175 limit.
Personally i use a 180hz monitor on 240 fps which is perfectly fine, but if you do want synced frames, then just enable vsync/freesync.
You can’t enable VSync, otherwise this post wouldn’t have been made.
Im pretty sure you can enable it in NVIDIA control panel (idk i have a radeon card)
That’s not a real solution though, They are asking for variable FPS limits and perhaps an in-engine VSync.
I’m in full support. 75Hz, 165Hz, and 360 Hz monitors exist. We should have an unlimited or custom option for frame limits! V-Sync also would be nice.
I don’t think there’s any issue with not having a frame rate floor or ceiling - other games like Counter Strike 2 allow you to put in any FPS cap you want (even if it’s 10 FPS.)
I think Roblox should do the same.
That’s still so bizarre to me, how did they make it so restricted despite having damn good engineers?
We need a 100 fps option that would be huge
Why 100 specifically? and why suggest that on a post that specifically suggests variable FPS limit, for example: any whole number between 1-240.
Because we should have a custom button, but also some more common fps choices
sadly no custom yet but we got more options including 165, so since you have a 165 hz, this would help.
Full support as a 75 hz user. I hate how it’s just a choice between low frames and tearing.
I don’t think options should be limited starting from 60 fps, I don’t see a big difference when I play in 45 fps, for performance reasons, I wish this was an option. Maybe making the minimum 30fps to prevent physics issues would be nice.
