Is it Possible or not?

If it is possible and someone has already made it please tell me! If not I would hire someone to make a plugin because it would help terrain devs everywhere.

It is not possible with the normal Roblox terrain. It is possible however through custom mesh terrain, unfortunately that requires a lot more effort.

I am not very sure, but I think it would make every player in your game possibly lag (I may be wrong)

if its actually have surface appearance its may cause some lag! after all… its requires surface appearance to be realistic

How do I get rid of these, on the terrain, while retaining the spherical shape?

The results you want to achieve basically requires you to look into modifying Smooth terrain textures, which is not impossible but extremely hard, to say the least. I dug through some old threads to find if there were other people also interested in this topic and I found these; Take note of @Maximum_ADHD 's comment, it highlights how hard it is achieving your desired results.
