Decal/Ear Problem

I am looking to create a decal of an ear that is seamless/blends into the part or mesh I put it on that would be the same color. However, after altering the image and uploading it 6 times it is still the same image. I have no idea how to solve this issue. I am starting blankly at my computer, on the verge of tears wondering why the amalgamated ears with visible shadow on the sides just stand there. I just want to make ears, I have been trying for around an hour to make an ear. All I want is to make an ear. When uploading the file it shows as the updated image, I cannot bear to see the poorly made ears any longer. I need help.

So your problem is that it uploads as a different color?

The original image I uploaded had like grey bits on the sides, but I altered it and it still uploads as the same image.
