Yeah the Rthro thumbnails just got updated too. I don’t think it’s changing sadly :frowning:

It’s interesting because the new thumbnails for the Rthro and Realistic animations resemble the old thumbnails. If you didn’t know, Roblox updated classic bodyshots in 2021 for some reason, making them a little more zoomed out than they were before.

Can you send a picture for comparison?

early 2023 is when that happened, not 2021

Oh, I saw shirt/pant thumbnails being updated into the new position around 2021, but then I saw a flamingo video from january of 2022 and the old thumbnails were also there.
I think early or the summer of 2023 is when everyone’s headshot and bodyshot images got reset so there was no outdated ones.

this post is marked as fixed, but for me, it still gives me the wrong image.

I don’t think they’ve actually fixed it yet

Still not fixed. Hey @Hooksmith is there any chance that this was accidentally marked fixed by the forum moderators?

Has this issue actually been fixed? Has the update not released yet or something, or did the engineers “fix” something that wasn’t the problem? Because it seems to be the exact same as before the bug report was marked as fixed.

Mightve been accidentally marked fixed

Well, I guess they found a fix, but will rollout the update a bit later? But as I can see, nothing has changed on the avatars API docs page.

Presumably so, If you read carefully into what that Roblox staff who responded here said: they did say they’d update the thread when the fix is on its way. Meaning it has likely not been released yet, but the fix is done and ready to ship.

The staff who responded here did say this after all:

Hey folks please avoid excessively commenting on this bug report. This one doesn’t need 150 replies and I see several replies that do not add anything to the thread. Only post when you have meaningful content to add. If someone already said something you want to say (e.g. “this has not been fixed”), like that post instead of re-replying the same thing.

The engineer is still working on it so no need for panic. It was marked as Fixed on the forum due to the feedback system misunderstanding the state of the issue due to the assigned team’s workflow being a bit different than other teams. We’ll make sure the engineering team responds when it’s actually fixed and we’ll try to fix the issue for future posts.

we apologize for our misunderstanding

yeah, it was by the feedback system thingy that hooksmith said.

Thanks for an update we’ll keep quiet now.

Hi folks,

Sorry for the late response and for affecting so many of you.

We have news: this bug should be mitigated! We have implemented an option to revert the profile picture to its previous state. This can be found on the first page of Profile Picture Editor. In the meantime, you still have the option to customize your profile picture as desired.

Thanks for reporting this!
