As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to …
Its currently impossible for us to detect if a player is an Alt account of an other account that already played.
Roblox now have a way to detect Alt account and are using it with the new Ban system.
It would be really really useful to be able to have access to that.

If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because …
It will help us prevent people alts to get Bonuses with our “Invite Friends” system.
It will help us remove Alt account from Leaderboard. Its even worst when we give rewards for being in top leaderboard and the top is full of alts.
Overall, it will be useful to know for many other reasons.

I really hope it will be a feature soon!

I’m not sure what this post means , because this is already a feature and you can use the ban api to detect alt accounts

this could be used by stalkers too or something, but this is still a good idea

I seriously thought that when roblox added the new ban api with alt account detection they added a way to detect if players are actually alt accounts
This feature is needed and a no brainer for roblox

I realize now that this would not really be a good feature for user safety

Roblox has gone out of their way to patch methods developers found to track users across accounts in the past, there’s no way they would expose this information and it’s definitely for good reason too.

The ban alt account system doesn’t work most of the time though, it’s very easy to bypass.

For people who try to exploit I agree, but most Normal users have no idea how to bypass that and it would already filter 99% of the playerbase. so I dont mind!
