Developer Exchange is Moving to the Creator Dashboard!

This UI looks better than the old one

thats a nice ui, but when is my payment actually going through? its been almost 3 weeks as a returnee
and support just ghosts me

A very neat update! I DevEx-ed on the day this got released, so I was wondering if there was any announcement about it.

Is it possible for us, in the near future, for Developer Exchange page to have a progress status bar when we DevEx? I’d like to know how long would it take for my personal DevEx request to be accepted/rejected.

I mean, I didn’t state that I would ever use DevEx or actually make a game, so I wouldn’t need it for the current time being. I don’t get what you mean by that…

Regardless of quality, I wouldn’t want to play a game that literally is just a baseplate, so a distinct game has always been a key factor for games that I like. So would children.

Exactly, advertising on Roblox is a horrible investment due to the fact the everyone either just ignores them or uses an AdBlocker. There are also PLENTY of scandals revolving around advertising some very inappropriate things that I’m almost certain would get me banned from the DevForum just by mentioning it, and the advertisement system practically is unmoderated meaning you can advertise some of the worst things you could possibly imagine if you wanted too… Also, it would take you some time to gain the necessary traction needed to push out your games to your own audience!

Yep, a player-base is necessary to keep any game thriving whether it is great, or horrible.

Basically, I’m just trying to say the following things:

  1. Comparing a game’s success to Adopt Me is a ludicrous statement
  2. Plenty of the FANTASTIC games on Roblox will go unnoticed due to other “hotshot” developers as I previously mentioned
  3. DevEx rates are also unreasonable, but this is a hot topic that many people have disagreements on, so I won’t say much else

:happy3: Anyways, I don’t want this “DevThread” to be cluttered up with arguments, therefore I wish you a wonderful Roblox day @EmeraldLimes! :happy3:

Of course, I personally agree with that as well. I would argue though that games such as Brookhaven and Adopt Me don’t actually have tons of content, most of it is from the player roleplaying and such themselves.

They give the player the playground, and the players will play on it. Which is what I mean by simpler games.

Yes, I think this is somewhat true. But again, I do think it all comes down to how you actually push out and market your game, as well as the overall design of your game, and how attractive it is to your target audience.

:happy3: I appreciate this comment, very well mannered of you for agreeing to disagree. I respect your opinion as well, and wish you a most wonderful Roblox day too! :happy3: (I apologise if I sounded hostile during my posts)
