Dynamic Head Did not Pass Threshold

This is a shot in the dark, but I dont know what else to try…

I have been trying to learn how to make dynamic heads. When I try to validate the template files, they dont validate. The only issue I cannot solve is “Dynamic Head did not pass threshold for percent change when emoting”.

I understand what the issue is. I know that dynamic heads require 17 FACS emotes as custom properties, associated with keyframes of each animation. That the validator takes screenshots of seach frame and determines if they have changed enough.

No matter what I try to change, it doesnt work. I want to make dynamic heads with eyes, mouth, teeth, eyebrows, etc. but I cant even validate the template! Here is MY fbx that wont validate.
SemiRealisticFemale.fbx (5.8 MB)

The only thing ive changed from the original template is joining the eyes, mouth, teeth, and tongue with the head and parenting the mouth and eyes to the dynamic head. Those things were causing issues themselves.

Please help me solve this issue and validate the tutorial template files

Soo, apparently a head requires a texture to be validated…

On the left is the one I made. The right, the same avatar but what is provided in studio. The one provided in studio DOESNT VALIDATE :skull: The legs are too long…

Here is the fbx if you want to try it yourself. All that is required is giving the head a texture.

Soo… It turns out the rig in studio does validate, I just had imported it wrong.

Make sure to set the scaling to Rthro when importing certain rigs.

I’m making a static head, but the threshold is stuck at 0.04, and no matter how much bones I move in pose mode the threshold does not change.

The emote threshold is based on how much change is detected from two screenshots, not the change in the bones.

I broke it down here: How to pass the Emote Threshold (Dynamic Heads)
