Dynamic Skies Are Getting Cloudy

Sounds great! A quick question though, if you don’t mind - are there any plans to let us customize SunRay color, and the color of the sun during dusk/dawn? With more and more features like Dynamic Skies being added, it becomes increasingly vital for higher customization levels, which would allow for higher levels of detail in our environments.

EDIT: To clarify,

Does this mean it’s already enabled, or that it’ll be enabled later on today? Many thanks.

Ig you could just hop onto studio and check.

Edit: Not enabled as of rn so I’m assuming later on today.

Edit: is this normal on Roblox in the windows 10 store, becouse on the website is this not.

These Are beautiful, Seeing What These Can Do Will Be Cool!

Weird, I’m adding them into “Lighting” nothing comes up other than the object itself and it’s properties.

Sadly the new clouds are restricted to the “Terrain” instance.

I agree with where it is now bc it just keeps things more neat, especially considering lighting has lots of stuff under it.

Place them under terrain and it will show.

This is a really amazing feature and I would really enjoy seeing what’s coming up next with the weathers and other properties. However, I found a minor issue, I’d like to report so it can be fixed for the future. Anything other than this, is really amazing. A good improvement for experiences.

This issue I’m talking about is like a movement of the clouds at the bottom, when there is no skybox or atmosphere inserted. (This only happens when you move the camera.)

I had Clouds.Cover 0.604 and Clouds.Density 1
Here’s a gif providing a visual of what I’m talking about.

If this specifications help I’m running on a Windows 10, RTX2080s 16gb ram.

Can’t wait to see the other features it has to offer!

This looks great and I’m looking forward to seeing more customization options. Sunray color and texture customization along with a new dynamic night sky, stars are things that would come to mind

Stars & Shooting stars would be nice, and controlling how fast the clouds move.

They look absolutely amazing compared to before, good work!!

Wish it was possible to tween or fade skyboxes though…

quick question that might sound a bit stupid, but
if the clouds are enabled in studio, are they also enabled in the game player? or is it still a studio only thing

Asimos tweet brought me here lol

Personally, I don’t agree with this. Having clouds go in terrain makes things a little more messy.

Wouldn’t clouds be better in lighting or as an option you can toggle on?

No, having it toggleable wouldn’t work because it has different properties you can change.

I mean yeah, but what if the properties were in the sky object, And they only appear once you’ve enabled clouds.

Sunrays seem to have a bit of trouble working with clouds correctly, they sort of flicker & teleport across the screen instead of smoothly fading in and out when being covered by clouds. This issue occurs at any viewing angle where sunrays are visible.

From what I’ve heard there are going to be other features with dynamic skies so, in a sense, it does make sense. Ig it does come down to personal preference but we’ll see.
