I know, it was quite immature of me to say that so we should just move on from that comment.
The clouds move slightly, that’s probably why you’re seeing that.
Did you mean to release clouds on mobile? I have it on my iPad, however it’s the old clouds.
That happens to me on my iPad aswell.
Sunrays are essentially Screen Spaced volumetric lighting that are made with transparent objects that resemble rays of light, so when they get blocked they aren’t visible anymore… The more you have, the better it looks. The reason it flickers like that is because Roblox’s Sunrays aren’t that dense, so when an object is obscuring them you can see the individual rays disappearing.
It’s also not just with clouds, if you move the camera around a physical object such as a part you’ll get the same effect.
I think i basically found 1 rendering bug with clouds that only happens when you turn your graphics quality to 1. When you use hd admin to fly into clouds (I know you are not supposed to try fly above the clouds since that feature doesn’t exist yet) it fades really weird. you can also see the noise texture and the almost interior of the clouds too.
Also someone reported that if you are on ipad and playing a game that has clouds, old clouds will show up.
That is bc clouds aren’t available on mobile yet.
He has the clouds on mobile, however they’re the old ones we first saw in the studio beta.
U can see the old ones as of rn on mobile, however as said above it will be enabled onto mobile.
Maybe restart studio? That might work
These Clouds Look Really Nice You Could Make Some Nice Looking Games Using These
Original 0.5
New 0.5
Original 1
New 1
Way better than the first version, very happy!
(Please note the skybox change was to show the new 0.5 clouds, as the new ones are less visible than the last version when using the default background.) (I got the old screenshots today using the modern materials build, as old test builds don’t show the new clouds.)
They should add a light influence property. So you can adjust how much light will react to the clouds.
Are you in the normal version of studio?
Should we make closer clouds that are actual objects, and then dynamic skies for farther clouds?
I tried both the beta build (for the beta textures) and I tried the normal build
A little problem with the clouds… Hopefully this odd glitch gets patched sooner or so.
If you don’t know what I’m referring to, it’s just the sun rays. Clearly in the image you can see that the sun isn’t fully covered by the clouds, so we would still be able to see the sun in the distance, but in the image, it shows that it somehow manages to cover the whole sun which makes the sun ray beams coming out of nowhere.
Other than that, this addition is gonna improve many of my experiences that I would create soon. Great job!
By Normal Build do you mean just default roblox studio?
