ok so as of right now we have
1:cloud cover (for all cloud types)
2:density (for cirrostratus)
3:color (for all cloud types)
4:enabled
while i am not asking for evrey single cloud species/ sub types / and other
we should at least have all the main cloud genus
this includes
Cirrus
Cirrostratus
Cirrocumulus
Altocumulus
Altostratus
Nimbostratus
Stratus
Stratocumulus
Cumulus
Cumulonimbus
for this we would need 5 more things
1:Type (il explain later) (for all cloud types)
2:Height/cloud base (how high is the base of the cloud) (for all cloud types)
3:Grouping scale (the scale of each seperete cloud) (for cirrocumulus/altocumulus/stratocumulus)
4:Shading (different form color, some clouds have a sharp black bottom with a bright white top, while others are the same color under and above) (for cirrocumulus)
5:Verticle extent (for if you want to make thin clouds or clouds that rise high up like mountains) (for cumulonimbus/nimbostratus and somtimes cumulus/altostratus)
for the first one cloud type it should be a number range like how density works form 0 to 1
0-0.199 (Cirrus)|(hair like clouds)
0.2-0.399 (Stratus fibratus)|(layer cloud with a fiber like texture (seen in cirrostratus fibratus))
0.4-0.499 (Stratus nebulosus)|(layer cloud with no texture, not puffy on top, when cloud cover is set to 1 it would look grey with no features)
0.5-0.599 (Stratocumulus stratiformis)|(layer cloud with puffy tops/similar to 0.4 but not featureless under, puffy above)
0.6-0.699 (Stratocumulus flocus/castellanus)|(similar to cumulus however more merged based)
0.7-0.8.99 (Cumulus)|(fair weather clouds,puffy)
0.9-1 (Cumulus (with extremly sharp puffy outlines))|(the look that cumulus congestus or cumulus calvus has).
(there is a other way but i rather have the number system so we can have one cloud type evolve into a other type, the other way is that you select from a list of cloud shape types)
1:cirrus (number would be 0-0.199)|(for cirrus)
2:stratus (number would be 0.2-0.499)|(for cirrostratus,altostratus,nimbostratus,stratus)
3:stratocumulo (number would be 0.5-0.699)|(for cirrocumulus,altocumulus,stratocumulus)
4:cumulus (number would be 0.7-1)|(for cumulus,cumulonimbus)
with all this you could be able to make any cloud for example
(note for color 1 is pure white and 0 is pure black)
(note for height and verticle extent lets pretend that 1 stud = 1 meter)
Cirrus(Cover:0-0.25|Density:0-0.75|Color:0.75-1|Type:0-0.19|Height:5000-15000|Grouping Scale:can be anything you want|Shading:0-0.75|Verticle extent:under 2000)
Cirrostratus(Cover:0.25-1|Density:0-0.25|Color:0.75-1|Type:0.2-0.49|Height:6000-13000|Grouping Scale:can be anything you want|Shading:0-0.75|Verticle extent:under 2000)
Cirrocumulus(Cover:0.25-1|Density:0-0.75|Color:0.75-1|Type:0.5-0.69|Height:5000-15000|Grouping Scale:less then 1|Shading:0-0.25|Verticle extent:under 2000)
Altocumulus(Cover:0.25-1|Density:0-1|Color:0.5-1|Type:0.5-0.69|Height:2000-7000|Grouping Scale:1-5|Shading:0-1|Verticle extent:under 2000)
Altostratus(Cover:0.75-1|Density:0.25-1|Color:0.25-0.5|Type:0.2-0.49|Height:2000-7000|Grouping Scale:can be anything you want|Shading:0.25-1|Verticle extent:under 5000)
Nimbostratus(Cover:0.75-1|Density:0.75-1|Color:0-0.75|Type:0.4-0.49|Height:500-5500|Grouping Scale:can be anything you want|Shading:0.25-1|Verticle extent:1000-7000)
Stratus(Cover:0.75-1|Density:0-1|Color:0.25-0.5|Type:0.4-0.49|Height:0-2000|Grouping Scale:can be anything you want|Shading:0-1|Verticle extent:under 2000)
Stratocumulus(Cover:0.25-1|Density:0-1|Color:0.25-0.75|Type:0.5-0.69|Height:500-2000|Grouping Scale:Greater then 5|Shading:0-1|Verticle extent:under 2000)
Cumulus(Cover:0-0.25|Density:0-1|Color:0.5-1|Type:0.7-1|Height:200-2000|Grouping Scale:can be anything you want|Shading:0-1|Verticle extent:10-8000)
Cumulonimbus(Cover:0.5-1|Density:0.75-1|Color:0-0.75|Type:0.7-1|Height:200-2000|Grouping Scale:can be anything you want|Shading:0.25-1|Verticle extent:3000-16000)
note this would allow as well some of the species (Calvus|Castellanus|Congestus|Fibratus|Floccus|Fractus|Humilis|Mediocris|Nebulosus|Spissatus|Stratiformis)
