Without forking over the system, I think your best approach would be to create a Patch for the system. I only started using this system today, so I’m not really sure how to achieve what you need. I think the best option would be to ask @BlueSanik themselves.

I asked them before but they never responded, pretty sure they read it too but I don’t really mind about that, I’ll try to make a patch for it.

I like the chat especially for my game, but it seems as the server gets older sending a new message or receiving one introduces a lag spike. Is there a fix for this…?

No really used it much in my game, but i’ve tested it and its great

Now that spatial voice is out, the chat system’s bubbles should probably be updated to the new chat bubbles, instead of the custom bubbles, if possible. They currently conflict and causes some ugliness.

I found it to be the fact that the chat never clears the chat history, so hundreds of ui elements in the messages list cause the performance to decline, I made a fix inside the MainChatScript added below m.Name = data.Placement or 1000000000 + totalMessages[CurrentChannel.Name]

delay(60, function()
m:Destroy()
end)

this removes all the chat and instances for chats older than 60 seconds, useful to patch the performance issue.

Can you update it to have a setting that has a default number that is the max amount of messages before messages start getting deleted?

Maybe a way to enable or add Proximity to it? like for horror games or sumthing

How do I add a limit to chat logs? My chat keeps overloading because there’s too many messages.

While Betterchat offers more features, but Echo chats UI is truly beautiful.
