Egg Hunt 2019 Opportunity

Applications have no deadline. We will review the applications ads they come in and if we find 40-50 games in a week then the applications will close or the application may be open for a month if not enough people apply.

Letā€™s assume Iā€™m in the middle of making a game that will probably be done in a week or two. How do you determine if itā€™s good enough to get featured?

In fact, on any game without a playerbase, wouldnā€™t it be hard to tell if people will enjoy it?

Great! Really enjoy that developers can have the opportunity to apply for an event like this, and not just staff members. That in particular is why I enjoy the community here. Good luck to all egg hunt 2018 applicants!

Thank you for the feedback and passion you have for the Egg Hunt project. This specific plan is still in discussion and will be elaborated in detail with the team chosen for the project to ensure all participants of the event receive a fair chance to play.

You are correct, this is a new approach that we decided to give it a try. We see it as a way for us to provide many developers on the platform with an opportunity to reach multiple players on the platform and for them to gain experience from it.

If anyone needs someone for their team, I can script, build or do GUI work!

Would love to apply. Unfortunately it might be another month or two before our game is ready for release :grimacing:

If you have progress to show of the game feel free to apply - just have it paid access
We understand some games may not be released and are happy to take a look at them still

Weā€™ll see if we can maybe get a demo ready. Weā€™ve already been talking about possible quests for the egg hunt :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

When will the hub team need to start working? Also, only one person from the team actually fills out the survey, right?

Iā€™d love to have a chance at being apart of the Hub builders, hopefully I get my chance!

But since this is my first time, Im not sure how that would work. Would I need to find a group since im just a builder?

Another side question: What would be my chances of being apart of the team if I just apply by myself? I always wanted to help be apart of a Roblox Egg hunt, since it can help me create content others can enjoy on such a high scale!

On average, how many hours a day would you have to put into the project? Just wondering for one of my team members.

Applied as a single UI designer for the hub! This is going to be an eggciting egg hunt!

Can we apply with more than one game?

Generally up to you as long as you meet the deadlines and requirements of the project. On Egg Hunt 2018 it was typically 15-20 hours a week for me in the first half and 25-40+ in the second half (ramping up rapidly toward launch). Itā€™s up to you how you arrange your time and what days you work on with the given deadlines in mind. They donā€™t check your hours, they check your work.

Also every project and every team is different, so itā€™s hard to say up front how many hours youā€™d be working in a week on it.

It can probably help if you do send a selection of games, giving them a variety to think about.

Are there any set deadlines for applying for opportunities 1 and 2?

They will prob say soon enough a deadline for both. Egg hunt 2019 is pretty far away for now so expect a deadline in a while.

Then again, the community could dislike how many places there are and how theres only about one egg per game. In the mind of a egg hunter, they want to experience it like 2013, exploring a big map and finding eggs around it and awesome ways to earn them!

We wonā€™t really know if people dislike this idea till it happens, but I feel like it could actually be enjoyable.
