Enforcement Ban - Inquiry

Hi there!
I have a moderation concern regarding enforcement bans. I have actually survived one and successfully unbanned. However, these bans aren’t really that “secure”.

My Case:
I was banned for just being on a WiFi. The IP was poisoned (meaning that if you make/use an account, the specified account gets banned). So I was just on that WiFi and got banned.

Other Cases:
Generally, I see many people getting enforcement banned because one of their supposed accounts was banned for child endangerment. I understand that is severe, however the thing is that sometimes there are false positives. However, the same applies to alot of cases: this is evident as none of the other specified accounts were banned.

List of People Who I’m Trying To Help Which Are Banned and How They Were Banned:

  1. Crowbx - Sibling banned for a 1 day ban, transferred over to enforcement (confirmed through review date)
  2. Denebellion - Passively on a wifi (no other accounts are banned)

My Suggestion:
Only allow actual staff to issue enforcement bans, instead of using automation. I understand automation makes the job easier, however maybe get automation to actually send a request to the moderators to review it, then a moderator can take action from there.

Hopefully this does get the attention of the moderators - if not, oh well!

Have a great day, and I hope everyone falsely banned gets unbanned.

I’m currently facing the same problem that you had. I was on my school’s public Wi-Fi at the time of the ban and someone at my school was playing ROBLOX and most likely got a violation which led to multiple of my accounts getting falsely terminated.

Is there a point in continuing trying to recover my account banned for the same reason if 1 month passed? It was an alt I used only for studio.

I do feel the enforcement bans are absurd sometimes. I believe the system should only issue one if it can be 99% confident that ban evasion is actually taking place. It shouldn’t just go by one source of information/match but rather multiple should match before issuing a ban. I.e. Just having a matching IP shouldn’t be grounds for an enforcement ban but maybe if IP matches AND at least two other factors match up, such as browser cookie, device ID, etc matches then flag the account as possible alt.

I agree. It sounds good on paper, however when executed it’s absolutely horrid.

For bots - the 30 day policy doesn’t apply.
For actual support members - does apply however if you have sent a request before that, it doesn’t apply.;

I used this appeal:
Hi, I believe my account was deleted because of my sibling’s actions. We use the same Wi-Fi and sometimes the same device. I understand what they did was wrong, but I’m kindly asking if my account can be reinstated since I wasn’t involved.

I sent it 3 times to the bots which got me unbanned.
