If you right click in a certain area on the Explorer widget while dragging a rubber band, it can become permanently stuck.
This also happens if you right click far outside of the explorer (Eg. in the viewport, or in another widget).
This may be related to Invisible Re-nameable Explorer Element since the region that triggers this is near the invisible element, but this is only a hunch.
