What I meant was, don’t try running Roblox or Studio as administrator mode, because once you do, as said here:

Does anyone know how to download plugins when you get this error message?
Alright, I will have to uninstall it and keep some back-up files.
I found out how to fix it, it even fixed the opening from the site only for those ones who opened the roblox studio from name of admin so you need to make it “open up with name of admin” on all users something like this
How to do this, go to combality and change setting for all users
and click on this
It should work cuz i already said that it opens up from site

This is happening for me post update yesterday, even reinstalling studio hasn’t fixed the issue. I don’t want to run studio as an admin if I can help it. Any other solutions?
After I deleted the entire roblox folder from program data x86 and runned the studio bootstrapper from AppData/local normally, the issue was fixed.
Just happened to me. I was able to fix it by running studio as an administrator.
Same, I set my studio shortcut to always run as administrator.

I learnt a trick. Using @Maximum_ADHD’s program, you can actually bypass the error message and get inside of Roblox Studio. Download it here: https://github.com/MaximumADHD/Roblox-Studio-Mod-Manager
disable your antivirus, this is not malware. I won’t post things that actually contain malware

Delete Roblox folder from Program Files (x86), it should fix the problem (dont forget to reinstall Roblox after that)
If ran with administrator. It will keep creating errors if not ran with administrator. As for the next reply you made, reinstalling is the only way. I was glad that my plugins were saved and such. Still, to keep it safe, back-up plugins and saves.

This solution requires the user to give Administrative Perms. This isn’t really a perfect solution…
This still affects people to this but it hasn’t been fixed once.
It’s been a struggle to open Roblox recently due to the fact that it updates every week and that it once again breaks itself (because the launcher is completely replaced) as soon as it updates.
I really wish this was fixed.

Moments after I actually tried it, it worked. Once I closed studio and tried to reopen it, it broke. Im so confused.
Exactly! It’s incredibly stupid and it’s been frustrating especially if you’re a frequent restarter like me, who restarts my PC to fully flush the system.
Whenever it works, it always gets replaced the next update or when you restart because “Roblox knows best”. It’s ridiculous.
If the Roblox team properly listened to the community instead of deciding to not even give a status on severe bugs, this issue wouldn’t be happening for almost a year now.
at this point, we’ve literally either had to install GitHub projects to stop updating and requiring the key entirely, or edit the confines of Studio in itself by going into our OS and literally giving Roblox administrative privs.
