Fbx rig turns sideways when imported to studio

so i made a little guy to import to roblox. that’s great! i fully rig it in blender and import it into roblox. but then i’m presented with… this…

why is this happening? everything looks complete fine in blender, what’s the problem?

so i thought, alright then, i’ll just rotate everything in roblox to the correct orientation. NOPE.

i tried applying position and rotation in blender, but to no avail, got this.

which is… i guess better? not an improvement overall.

at the very least could i get a possible way to fix the weird sideways floating issue when i playtest?

One way you might be able to fix it is to export it as GLTF. Sometimes that works.

alright yeah, that’s an improvement

i believe this was a mistake in blender on my behalf, but do you have any idea why all the joints are connected to the torso? i’m fine with re-rigging it in roblox but i’d like to know so i don’t mess anything up again.

(the rig if that helps)

I guess the bones aren’t parented correctly. Does it move correctly in Blender when you use pose mode?

yeah, it does move correctly in pose mode. weird…

What does your bone hierarchy look like in Studio?
