Feed back on my melody

Hello! I have been composing for at least 4 years now and played piano for 7 years! I need feedback on my song.
I have worked on it for about a week on garage band mobile since I do not have a Mac.

The music is based off of traditional Korean music called Dachewita mixed with a little hip pop.
Thank you for giving your feedback. It’s a melody not a actual song.

It’s for my game for the character you see in the video.

It’s ok for background music loop, imo.

Yes I know it’s just the simple melody I am gonna add more stuff later on.

Lacks some proper mixing. The frequencies collide due to this an d there isn’t any space in the song giving a dry impression. It makes it hard to define the instruments properly on my studio monitors. Of course, your using GarageBand, so mixing and mastering options aren’t the best there. The concept is great and I get the overarching vibe! You may need to tweak it a bit on a different software with some monitors (preferably in the 10kHz-22kHz range) for a better balance. But keep it up! I like the theme.

Well that is going to be hard since I build on computer but compose on my iPad.

Oh. Maybe you could invest in an audio interface and some good headphones. This will also give you a free version of some good DAws like Ableton or Logic. But this depends on how serious you are about your mix. Most people aren’t as critical about music or have the proper equipment to hear frequencies so they probably won’t notice.

I tried out logic but I says connect you Mac lol

I use Ableton Live. It’s probably let the m most well rounded workstation there is. The only downside is that it cost about $400

This makes me want to dance and I’m technically a professional at that  so good job! This has such a fun vibe, it’s creepy and mysterious but fun and exciting at the same time. This will set an amazi g vibe in your game! Good job!

Thank you! I am making more music in the future.

400 DOLLARS. That is more expensive than my computer.

If you use Windows, I recommend Cakewalk.
It’s free since 2018 and I use it for over 20 years…

This I think could be a nice Menacing Boss fight music.

While the melody have that sort of theme for playing the piano for over 7 years it sounds good, perhaps add more notes to that second melody so it doesn’t repeat itself.

The beginning part coming with instruments and drums looks a little off in my opinion. If you’re going for a creepy sort of horror game you should try removing the beginning part going straight into the melody, since that’s what your more focus on when the second melody comes in “1 in a half bar” you should try making that repeat and maybe build up the melody a bit more instead of having it loop around again and again.

Try adding a faded part at the end or if you’re wanting to not make it loop around the entire beat.

I think you could add more melody’s fitting the theme you’re wanting have it match with the instruments that are placed in. At the start it needs a little work is your game going to have just a melody without the drums?

Nice, for the actual song play around more with different timbres, dynamics and sections!

The background music aka the percussion and harmony should be quieter and you should increase the melody. You have the lead rift in the background…

I take your advice but like the high hat and the snare and the kick are on beat the cymbals were hard since garage band wasn’t working. And for now it’s a melody so it’s suppose to loop.

The weird high pitch noise is part of the melody.

Yeah but it should be louder than the rest
