Feedback for my gun

This is actually the first time I 3D modelled a gun and it took me like 2h I think to finish this gun.
It’s an AK47 and I just want feedback other than texturing it.

Thanks for reading, any feedback will be helpful and thanks!

Looks great! I think it will look ace once it is textured. No negatives to give!

Keep up the awesome work and good luck on the development of this!

I imagine it would look really good with textures!
The only thing missing is the trigger, you need that.

I can tell from the lighting as well as from other things that this lacks many curves in the stock, handle, and trigger guard area. While a trigger isn’t necessary since (assuming it’s a tool) it will most likely be covered most of the time, consider adding it anyway as a detail. Overall it looks accurate to the actual gun, just add some curves to the stock, and consider adding the bolt if its not already there.

This gun definitely needs a trigger. I’d like to see what the model will look like after textured, when it does please update me. It looks great for your first time, good job!

Like Nanonauts stated above, this gun will need a trigger, but other than that, fantastic job!

I love it. No improvement needed (other than the trigger but I think you get the point). Good luck texturing it!

It looks cool and if you add the texture, it will also be cool.

First time making a 3D gun looks too good! Keep up the good work man!

To sum up, when will you add colors into that machine gun?

Hi!

I agree with @21stPsalm in post 6, that it does need a trigger.

It’s good for the first time modeling though, I probably can’t do better than that! :joy:

I mean all of you told me to texture it and i know its missing the texture its just that it already took me so much time and I had to go sleep so I just decided to post it on the forum to get peoples opinion. That is why I didnt texture it.

I dont know if I will import it to roblox but i just wanted to improve my 3d modelling skills. But i was thinking of making multiple guns and sell them for funds. @ComplexStud

I mean its an AK47 @RISING_ROBLOX so any game that is making an ak47 it will look same. How many ak47 design there is.

I agree with both of you how did I forget the most important part if a weapon lmao . @ValkyrieHuskyy

Thanks for the support when i will have the time I will give it proper texture and curves and the trigger.

It’s a really decent first run for your first gun, however there are some things that scream out at me.

  1. As mentioned above, the trigger is not optional.
  2. In front of the trigger guard there’s a little latch that the magazine clips into that holds it in the gun. Most people probably won’t notice but those who care about guns definitely will.
  3. The stock and handle on a gun in real life is most often the most curved piece of the whole thing (since it has the most contact with your body), and it’s the exact opposite in your model. Let’s see some curves on that guy.
  4. I question the proportion of the sights (particularly the rear ones) to the rest of the body, but I’m not entirely sure
  5. You haven’t shown us both sides, but I sincerely hope that you included the charging handle and safety selector. Not to do so would be a crime and have Mikhail Kalashnikov rolling in his grave.

But it’s a great start. Keep up the good work.

So far, Amazing!
However what I need you to do is Increase the size of the magazine and increase the size of the pistol grip and curve the trigger guard a bit.
other than that its pretty great

I wouldn’t think you know too much about the AK platform. Sure, I don’t study AKs, but I still know how they look like. The magazine is a bit short, but it’s getting there. The curve in the magazine is a bit more “realistic” for 7.62x39mm. The pistol grip doesn’t look great, and does require some sort of fixing. The trigger guard that you said needed to “curve” more isn’t something that is needed. An AK trigger guard is more of a “square” that was hollowed out for your trigger to go in. Here is an actual AK trigger guard.

As you can see, it is more “straight” than curved.

Hi, nice model! there are a few things off with the rifle and I don’t want to sound like a super stuck up or picky guy lol but i’ll just list my first few thoughts!

the gun:

  1. The mag looks a little too small
  2. the top of the handguard is supposed to more forward to allow the trunnion (where the barrel is pressed into and is a solid piece of metal between the dustcover and receiver and the handguard itself, also holds the rear sight aperture)
  3. missing trigger
  4. the front sight aperture has a circular design which was mostly found on chinese aks known as type-56’s , maybe try a semi circle design
  5. add a muzzle brake
  6. missing mag release
  7. gas block needs some editing (it’s cylindrical and is connected with a thinner piece of metal to another cylinder on the main barrel\
  8. Since the dustcover does look more blocky and high up, i would consider this rifle a type-56

the way it was made:

  1. there are parts of the gun that has more detail than the rest of the rifle, try to keep the detail consistent (stock, reciever, dustcover, and grip)

It looks pretty good for a first time model, maybe look for a few more references to get the proper shapes and parts!!
