(This is just a re-texture on my old model)
I bought substance painter today and i finished my first project on it.
Here is the result, all feedbacks are appreciated.
It’s not that good but i think it is good for the first time.

It’s really good, I really like the texture. I’m not sure if this looks like the real, but why is there like 2 holes in the first image? I don’t know if it should be there or not but overall very nice for your first.
I guess you are talking about these 2 holes
I think they exist on the real AK47 too. Here let me show you a photo
If these are not the holes you mean, please tell me.
(I noticed that the holes are too big, i’ll fix that.)
My mistake, but very cool(Not 30 words).
Thanks for your feedbacks
it looks good.
don’t get discouraged by this but the ironsight looks a bit too tall
Thanks for your feedback, i’ll fix it
it’s not that good? Absolutely not. It’s amazing.
The texture is amazing. Keep up the great work!
Thanks for your feedback
Thank you
It looks really cool! I like how detailed it is and how realistic it looks, keep up the good work!
This model has a very abused and mostly realistic texture. Most of the areas are well done.
There are a few things I would like to point out though.
Firstly, as Not_1yo mentioned, the front sight is too tall. The top should line up with the rear sight block.
Secondly, there seems to be some issues with overly-sharp lines. On the dust cover, the horizontal convex line seems to be too sharp.
The bolt carrier also seems to just look off. The sharp line fits more with this piece, but there is supposed to be a slight bulge where the handle protrudes as shown below. The handle is also a bit thin.
I will also highlight some areas of the stock and handguard where the edges either do not look natural ( too flat) or where the edges are too sharp compared to actual AK stocks.
Lastly, I will suggest some improvements to the texture.
On the heavily-worn metal sections, it would look more realistic to add some areas where the paint has been worn away and you can see the bare metal showing through, because otherwise it looks unrealistic that paint could be so beat up without chipping off.
I hope you don’t take this as me saying your model is terrible; it’s not. I’m just trying to be the fellow that gives you some things to think about.
Cheers.
Looks cool. The details are way more visible than on the any other model. Of course it’s not fully ideal, but it has potential.
Too Realistically, it must be a difficult way to model this?
