Feedback on my Deer

While I’m sure using some 3D Modeling Software such as blender I’d be able to accomplish something better, that’s not exactly an option due to unfamiliarity. Personally I’ve never made any sort of animal before on ROBLOX, how do you think this turned out?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Already looking better. Here’s his current state frontally.

I want him to be as good as he’s going to get before rigging.
Any suggestions / feedback appreciated

The deer got no ears lol + I think the head should be a cone like shape since thats how there face looks like. Other then those 2 changes, it’s FANTASTIC!

That’s cute! Maybe add a nose? Deer also have snouts, so maybe try to add one of those to the face?

Shoot… you’re right… ears. I’ll try to add those in right now as well as add more to his perfectly sphere head :joy: Thanks for the feedback, I’ll post edits here in a bit.

It’s a good start however there are a few things I noticed on the deer. Nose, Legs, Ears, Body. All of these are pretty under-detailed or rushed and the entire body shows the look of the deer but there are small objects missing such as the tail. However, it does resemblance a deer, maybe using more proper shape and smoother parts could possibly improve it.

If I were to offer any suggestions, I’d suggest making the legs look more like front hooves. At the moment, the back and front foot are very circle like at the bottom and don’t look quite as realistic - or cartoony as the hooves in the back. Matching these should help keep the model more detailed!

Consider throwing a few objects like nose parts or eye objects so the model doesn’t have a plain look. I’d be interested in a update of it soon.

I actually see what you mean, I’ll make some edits right now and post them when they’re done.
Deer was honestly put together in about ten minutes, it’s just for hunting in one of my games so I didn’t think it’d be a huge deal to make it as realistic as it could be. However, these are good suggestions and I’ll get to work on it.

Maybe you could use custom textures from outside of roblox instead of using the roblox studio textures.

I agree, I think the deer looks to metallic and needs a more realistic look.

Guess it’s not happening afterall.
Studio Crash

Did you make a backup? (30chars)

Yeah thank goodness for roblox’s auto save.

He got a bit better, but he does look like he’s about to be hit by a car.

The knees should be the same colour as the base body, and the back legs should have knees, the snout should be below the head, and the eyes should be further in the body/not sticking out as much, I really like the colour scheme going on here! With a bit of improvement, he could actually be quite good!

Looks exactly like the bohor reedbuck.

Nice job!
