nothing wrong with using free models as long as you’re still being creative
Maybe change the foot sounds depending on what material the player is walking on.
I know but I just like having everything made by myself and I am going to replace that freemodel with my own character soon that will be very similar but there will be changes especially to the hands.
I will try and do that but I don’t know how to yet. I will look it up and try to learn how to do that. I am also going to attempt at a gradient effect on the update board.
Finished the update board for now. (I am going to add in small details later but I am happy with the roof).
Changed the roof colour to look more like what I was aiming for by adding a bit more blue.
The old colour was parsley green and now it is earth green 25, 93, 48. I have all the colours that I may use noted down so I can use the exact same ones again.
Looks super nice, you should focus more on scripting though.
I am going to attempt at putting some music from Roblox in the backround. (I will be sure to replace them with my own music and I will have some more fitting songs in there).
Edit: I did it. There are 5 songs that will play in the backround now.
I have now changed the Mandarin translation.
There is a minor problem.
I think it is something to do with Roblox.
I added in punching! The only problem is you can punch people that are behind you and the animation looks very bad. I can redo the animation later. Also, does anyone know why the arm doesn’t fully go up? When I animated it the arm went fully forward.
The animation:
When playing the animation, do anim:Play(0)
. It will be snappier.
Also, i’d fix the hitbox problem by placing the hitbox at HumanoidRootPart.CFrame:ToWorldSpace(CFrame.new(0,0,-Z))
, where Z is the offset. Negative Z means forward.
Ok, thanks for the help! I will try that out.
I made a barrel.
looks really nice! well done. I am impressed by how much you have achieved in this short time span, you are inspiring me to actually work on my own game.
Thanks
Great Job!
I’ve seen this post for a very long time, so I decided to see what It was up to. Even If It’s your first game, It’s awesome! I can not wait to see the final result! Good luck on your experience!
Your builds look pretty good. Try adding some trees, etc around the map to make it feel more lively. For a first time its really nice
I will do that once I get the main island ready!
I think you can get this started into a pretty successful game. You have great Roblox building skills, great potential, and most of all… great support from all of of us. And this isn’t bad for your first game at all, actually decent.
