Feedback on my Main Menu

So I already made a previous post about this, and I wanted to ask what I can still improve in the main menu.
I also want to say that the actual game is NOT the topic of this thread because it’s not finished at all yet.

I watched your Streamable, and I got some feedback!

  1. The lines that expand when you hover and de-hover should be way faster. Like 3x faster. I’m not sure if it was meant to be slow, but I personally feel that a slow lines would really confuse the player which item they’re hovering on. Try hiding your cursor’s image using a script and see what I mean.

  2. The scenery needs to be a little lighter. At first, I didn’t even see that there was a person sitting on the chair because it was so dark and the scenery all have similar colors: grey, black, and white. Make more different colors stand out more (e.g. blue carpet, brown or wooden desk, white or gray walls).

  3. At least give that NPC a desk light. No office or home doesn’t have at least some kind of light. If I were you, I would add a one of these but super dim that kind of “spotlights” the npc (but super dim)

I think you’re trying to make some kind of “hacker” or “covert” game, so of course, you shouldn’t make it so bright that it doesn’t feel that way anymore.

Thanks for the feedback, those are some good ideas, I really appreciate it!

Edit: Making it faster is sooo much better

It’s still open for any feedback if someone is interested :3

The menu looks pretty good. I don’t know if you use scale or offset to size the menu, but it could stretch across the screen a little bit more. I think it’s very close to the side of the screen, making it seem unnoticeable. So, maybe increase the horizontal width by .1 or something, if you’re using scale.
