Hey,

I must say the terrain on the main island looks pretty good! The side islands are a bit too large. I’d say make them flatter for sure and maybe even smaller. Another thing you have to take care of is the natural look! Remember Nature is always uneven! a tree never grows straight etc!
You definitively have a lot of potential and you used the different materials nicely!

I hope this will help you!

Hi,

I had a look at your game and I’d say it’s a good base to start with. I’d recommend making it more realistic, I’m struggling to understand why’d you put ice next to sand? The main island also looks quite unrealistic as it’s elevated quite far up and I’d say there are too many rocks in the water and they’re too big, I’d get rid of at least 1 or 2 and make the rest smaller.

I’d also lower the water transparency to give it more of a tropical look as that’s the feel I get from it.

However, I think it’s a good start for someone who’s starting out in designing and builder. I hope this helps.

umm the sand is not ice i made it brighter to make it look realistic. it may seem like ice because of the lighting

Oh right, that’s my mistake, it looks a lot like ice, I’d recommend just having the main island in the middle and remove the entire island which looks like ice.

okay i would remove it… i too think it looks weird so yep

She’s right about everything she has sad. If you’re unclear about how o change the water and terrain settings go on explorer and then change it in properties.

You’re pretty good even though you’re new. I think you will make it look nice with these tips! Also another cool thing that you can do it use google pics for inspiration as it’ll help you get the realistic feeling!

Looks good! But I’m not a Terrain Designer myself so I’m not the best person to rate it lol.

I think its a bit too much light. I haven’t checked if you used “Sunrays” and “Bloom/Blur”. But check that out for sure! It’s easy to add in lighting. You just gotta put it in and check the values. I think its good tho. Just play around and if you don’t like it undo until you get the right feeling about it.

It really depends on the game plot. If its an Island with a beach then its good. If you want it creepy try adding some fog. If you want it rly sunny add like 1-4 Blur it’ll make it like you feel a bit annoyed by the heat and sun. All in all it’s good.

This is very good for your first showcase! I like how you also tried to have the different elements like fire and ice. The sun and the crystal clear water is quite cool. You could add some calming music to make it a calming and peaceful showcase if you want.

Hello @heroguy1134 ,

I just finished looking at your island showcase and there is a few flaws. The things I found that you should change is the water color; make it a bit darker and it’s too bright. Also, maybe add some ice in the water to make it a bit realistic but overall, it’s pretty good.

Hello, your game doesnt really have a whole lot. I suggest adding vegetation. Also, some of the rocks were really rigid and not realistic. There is a huge mismatch of green, rock and sand + other materials painted all over the island. hope this helps
