Greetings! I’m a novice modeller that learns something new every day. I made my first sword/weapon (Feedback on my (Fantasy?) Sword) yesterday and I tryed to make something better than it today. I made this Ottoman saber with the new things I learned from my previous mistakes. How does it looks? What should I change about it? Are there anything needs to be fixed? I will be really happy if you give me your honest feedback on it. I need to learn my mistakes to improve myself. So, please don’t beware of telling my mistakes to me.
Hey @ccletusx! Thank you for your compliments. I’m glad you liked it.
Sometimes I get jealous of other peoples work. And this made me more jealous then i usually get, It’s Awesome!
Thank you for the great words. Sorry for making you jealous I didn’t mean to
Good! I like how you put gems in the hilt, I think it gives it more of an artistic feel.
Thank for the feedback! I wasn’t really sure about them, it’s good to hear someone like it. I’m glad you liked it!
The swords bottom shouldn’t be gold, it should be more of a bronze, if you’re looking for historical feedback, that’s all I can give you, because other than that, it looks great.
I accually made it as a Royal sword. So, it’s more fancy than a normal Ottoman Sabre. Ottoman Royal family usually haves the most valuable stuff as possible. On the inspiration images that I looked to most of them had an antler or wooden handle with gold parts with unique patterns or many gems with a silver handle. I’m not really experienced in modelling so I can’t do both of them at the moment so I just made most of the handle golden. I’ll try to use bronze next time on another sword. Thank you for the feedback!
I like that you added the gems and a reflection showing off how sharp it is and showing its value at the same time.
Thank you! It’s really motivating to see people like your creation. Glad you liked it!
Yes. Most definitely. At this point we all ned this kind of motivation.
