Woah! This one is very cool, I like the layout of the house. However, there are some things you may want to work on. When doing the characters try bending the legs and back a bit more, cause the current characters are a bit stiff. Also, the character’s legs are clipping with the ground, or going through the ground. As well as the cups on the coffee table.

I would also try not to make the heads of the characters so shiny, in my opinion, it looks weird and unrealistic.
Hope this helped!

The scene is very nicely put together! I particularly like the curtains and the fireplace models. The outfits the characters are wearing fit in quite well too.

Constructive Feedback

I think the shadows cast from the fire are a bit too sharp overall. While it’s natural to have sharp shadows projected from an object directly in front of a point light, shadows in real life tend to diffuse as they get further away from the focal point of a more dynamic light source.

In scientific terms, the darkest area on a shadow is known as the umbra and the blurred edge of a shadow is known as the penumbra. In your render, there doesn’t seem to be any penumbra. As fire emits light in multiple directions, you would expect a penumbra to be present in the shadows.

Similarly, the shadows cast seem to be too dark, particularly on the wall where the fireplace is. Light tends to disperse when it hits an object. In a small room, this would mean that the light would bounce off each of the walls and be projected back in the opposite direction, brightening the shadowy area just a bit.

Conclusion

Constructive feedback aside, this is still a very nice render. As mentioned above, I think the models you’ve used to compose the shot are fantastic and the character’s outfits are spot-on. My critique of the shadows is quite technical and may not be something you want to work on. Nonetheless, I hope it was enlightening - pun intended!

Keep up the good work!
