Feedback on Storage Unit Map

Hey Developers,

I’ve been making a map for someone, And I have a few questions:

  • How does this look? Good? Bad? To Big? To Small?
  • How much would you say this map is worth in robux?

w3taaa

Also one big thing I need to know is, How does the Roblox system work when a Developer makes something for a user. Does the user pay the developer by group funds, and the developer sends the model/item over or does it work in another way?

Thank you, Cant wait to see your feedback!

For a storage unit, it looks a little bit too empty, maybe try adding some more boxes. Also, it sort of lacks detail. If you want something to look appealing, add more detail. Overall, looks really good! :+1:

The build itself is obviously a little beginner. You haven’t used textures and meshes and CSG operations to your advantage in this build, but it gets the job done.

It is pretty nice looking, I can definitely tell it is a storage unit. I would really pay attention to your LIGHTING because right now there are no lights in that building, yet somehow there is light appearing? I’d go to make it as realistic as possible, and lighting counts as a big step towards this.

I would maybe switch up some of the box colors? Not every box in a storage unit is identical, so use the color pallet wisely. The red is nice, but it’s an unnatural brick red color, I would head for something more subdued. The overall build screams concrete in your face. Are ceilings concrete? I would make it smooth plastic and add light fixtures as well as beams similar to what you would see in a warehouse:

The exterior is pretty bland, parking spaces do not look like that. I would look at reference images to get a good idea of what you are creating. I like the storage truck, however the wheels are too small for the body of it. Once again, reference images would help with that.

Overall a 6/10. I would work on better coloring, more variation, and more accuracy in your next projects. I wouldn’t give this build another thought really but it’s functional.

To answer your question, it really depends on the team you are working with. Typically group payouts are nice because they are non-taxed. There is no “fixed system” for exchanging assets, just make sure you don’t get scammed :no_mouth:

Try removing the shadows on the roof and add some ceiling lights to it. Maybe add some baseboards to the floor and ceiling. The colour of the wall doesn’t match well with a storage unit, however that’s just my opinion. Add some metal bars connecting on the roof (going side to side). A nice little touch is to add some paths onto the floor so it gives a bit more detail but not too complex. The outside looks pretty plain. Maybe make the roof a bit better by adding some air vents on top of the roof. Maybe add a cool sign as well. Just pointing out random ideas that could help you make this storage unit cooler. Looks good still.

The issue here could very well be like others have mentioned, detail. But, there’s also the lighting. You need to not cast shadows from the ceiling and place lights throughout the build, but they need to not do anything and just be neon parts with nothing functional inserted.

To be honestly, very very low detail, I personnally won’t buy it, but if I were like crazy rich, probably 75 R$: it’s the same model over and over again, nothing special with the graphics.

Cool build, but it needs detail. I would say add some stuff to the ceiling. It really needs more realistic lighting.

I think that this is a beginner level build. I just think it should be as realistic as possible! Anyways… Keep going. This is probably worth like… from 1k to 2k max. I’m not an expert in Robux selling points. But 1k should be okay for a low detailed map. Anyways… Good luck with your development journey! :grinning:

You really need to up your game by:

  1. adding some cars to the parking lot? It can be a mesh or a studio built car.

  2. Maybe add some workstation? uhh maybe a meeting room? Bathroom? You go for it.

  3. Add some lights, and maybe sine street lights for the outside, and if u want to u can mess with the graphics and like, make it a tiny bit realistic.

  4. Add some textures.

The unit looks pretty decent. I like the details inside. I would suggest that you add some more things on the shelves possibly add a wooden texture to the boxes instead of the red color on the boxes on it I think you should try adding that. If you look at the real life images of a storage unit, they have different equipment or details on the ceiling it is a great addition you could try adding in the building.

While the building does look good it lacks details and materials at the moment the building is just one color I would recommend throwing a fix textures or a more realistic type of material if you what I mean. I’d would suggest you try filling/adding some ceiling lights possibly change the style of the boxes and try placing some pallet wrap film on it so the boxes won’t fall all over the floor part I genuinely think you should consider adding that. The Interior is great, a lot of things you have added there, the boxes are very nice, some of them could look different.

I would just try adding some boxes or different things inside the unit like maybe some pallets placed up against the wall because right now the building is looking plain. More outside details if it’s needed such as. Cars, delivery trucks, and other things found in units would be great. I do like how you added some equipment in the building, but adding more won’t hurt.

Overall, I really like your storage unit build it’s really well put together.
