First "decent" animation

ive tried animating like shooting before and failed horribly (lack of skill on my part), but i think i did pretty ok on this one

Tried making a walking animation with little skill and was wondering if i can get feedback on how it is.

They are a little choppy in gif form so heres video form aswell

There’s lack of movement. It’s like a robot. Not moving it’s torso, and only arms. You want to have more movement

i tried adding some sway on the torso, although not sure if this is the right way to go if i need more movement, if you have any tips on how i could achieve it id love to know

just animate it? It has to look natural though. I’m not a good animator, but I know how a good animation looks like

i would if i had an idea what more movement was

Use the default walk animation as a reference. you can see how the whole body goes up and down when walking and everything is constantly moving.

Did you use blender, or just roblox studio

just roblox studio with moon animator

hm, ive checked it out and yeah it does go up and down

Although i have no clue how and where to even put theses “up and down movements” (idk what they are called)

when pushing off of your back foot when walking you’re being pushed upwards slightly and then back down when you place for front foot. Try implement something similar to that

I think that’s headed in a much better direction if you’re looking for more fluid and humand-like animations. Movement throughout the entire body is key to making the animation as a whole seem like a system of moving parts influenced by each other rather than pieces working individually. Something to keep in mind is depending on how much movement there is, the animation as a whole could look heavier or lighter. For example, when comparing this new animation with the original, the newer one looks much heavier. So you kind of just have to find the right balance to suit what you need. Keep up the good work though, your animations look nice!

Hmm, i think i understand what you are sayin, not entirely sure though

Anyways just here to reply and update the movement i feel like i made it slightly smoother

(will probably have to do something about the upper torso being so static)
