First detailed? model in blender

Im honestly really happy I finally got access to post on the dev forum. I feel like the website was incorrectly counting my hours… anyways, now that I finally have access, here’s the first high-quality model I made on Blender! (hoping this is the right category)

I still have more I want to add to the render, but I’m hoping y’all will like it/

It looks good! I also like how it isn’t a perfect circle and looks realistic. It looks like I’m looking like an actual image of a donut!

I guess it should be at #help-and-feedback:cool-creations.
In my opinion, it is pretty cool! I can’t even distinguish it from a real donut.

The model looks very good for a first real model. Did you follow Blender Gurus tutorials on the donut?

yes I did XD. Was thinking that other people might notice that.
It’s a really popular tutorial and it helped a lot, but I don’t want to be one of those people who only follow tutorials… I’m thinking I might try to make the donut again without the tutorial, and other things as well!

We all start some place! It really doesn’t matter if you followed a video or not, the fact you were able to make it shows you have great skill!

Wow it looks pretty real. Did you just took a picture of it?

haha XD. it took 5/6 hours, taking a picture of it would be much easier.

it took 5 to 6 hours for you to make that?

yep. But it was worth it. I followed a tutorial, though.

Dont mean to be rude but how is this roblox related?

Blender models can be used for meshes in roblox, or for ugc items.

Ok but this wasnt made or used in roblox.

Looks pretty nice, I recommend u too make like a room with and window, the donut in a table, background a couch and a TV and finally a window with solar ray sun aiming to the donut…

yes, but I will be putting it in a mesh and uploading* it to roblox… I rendered it in blender because it gives higher quality images.

Mm Okay. But maybe before you post show what it looks like in roblox so it relates more to what the dev forum is supposed to be used for.

ty for the feedback, ill try to do that next time.

ooh i like the “dough” part of your donut. it looks really realistic and… crispy!
However the sprinkles look kinda too rigged as they are all facing towards same direction. Make them rotate random direction to make it look better
I also started with a donut but got too bored to finish the entire series lol. so i started with “Grant Abbitt”'s tutorials. Highly recommend him. Poggers to your donut

Great work! Photorealistic, excellent lighting, maybe dial back the drop shadow just a bit.

There’s nothing wrong with using tutorials, you don’t have to memorize anything. The more you do it, the more you will remember. I would suggest that you make another model, rather than redoing this one.

Are you interested in contributing to other people’s games? Let us know!

Looks good ! though I think the sprinkles should be at a random rotation rather then facing the hole .
