We’re excited to share a highly requested update to Community Forums: you can now easily re-order your Forum categories!
Forum categories used to be sorted alphabetically by default. We heard from many of you that you wanted more control over your forum layout, so we’ve added custom category sorting to help surface what matters most.
How to use
Go to your Community page and click Configure Community.
Select the Forums tab from the menu.
In the Categories section, simply drag and drop your categories into the order you prefer.
Changes are saved automatically, your new category order will be reflected immediately for all members.
This update is part of our ongoing investment in making Community Forums more flexible and powerful for creators. We hope this makes it even easier to manage your community and keep discussions organized.

FAQs
Who has permission to make these changes?
Any role with the “Manage categories” permission enabled can make these changes. The Community owner can enable those permissions for other roles in their dashboard by going to Configure Community → Roles.
Where are the custom sorting settings located?
You can find the new sorting options in the Configure Community → Forums (Category Section).
When can we expect updates to community roles? I can screenshot it later, but roles on the community details page don’t align with the roles on the creator hub page.
Alright!
Forum categories have been automatically going in alphabetical order before, so I been using a numerical system to put them in an order I want.
can we undo this it’s cumbersome as all hell (and putting an add connection button everywhere both clutters this, has extremely strange vibes and just doesn’t make sense)
