Interpret it as you want, but it is most definitely a joke. I have never seen someone unironically wear a freaky hat. In addition, grown men can usually tell if you’re a little kid or not depending on other factors, like how you chat or other accessories you’re wearing.
…people will ALWAYS interpret it as sexual. even if it’s just a joke, it’s still a sexual one that doesn’t belong on roblox.
freaky does not mean silly, it means hypersexual.

scroll up to look at the poll, 95% of 198 people who came to this thread said to ban these kinds of accessories. surely not all 198 people can be misinterpreting this, right? and even if it is “misinterpreting”, the general public sees it as a sexual term, so it should definitely be banned.
to further my point, i have not heard anyone say “freaky” recently that does not mean it in a sexual way. there’s NO denying that it is a sexual term at this point.

that’s the thing though, the vast majority of people interpret in a sexual way, provided you are old enough and understand it.
you may say “yeah so the young children aren’t harmed” but that actually makes it even WORSE because now 7 year olds are running around thinking it means “silly” because that’s what the ugc creator says, who are completely oblivious to the definition. then you have the grown adults who see these clueless children and try to exploit them. people have pointed this out many, many times.
the general interpretation is that it means hypersexual, which makes wearing these accessories dangerous for these young children since a creep could easily seek out kids wearing these accessories and groom them due to KNOWING that they’re going to be oblivious.
and by that logic, LOTS of banned terms shouldn’t be banned. “frick you” shouldn’t be banned because it could be interpreted as a joke. you might say “well that’s a minority of people” but that’s the POINT, a minority of people don’t see freaky as sexual (except for those oblivious to its true meaning, LIKE LITTLE KIDS) which, again, makes them dangerous to have on the platform.
i agree that moderation sucks, but this is part of the problem and shouldn’t just be thrown aside because “it’s all up to interpretation”.

mainly referring to those who know the definition, especially because people (primarily those on the internet) don’t really use freaky outside of a sexual context (as far as i know)

True, but they might mean it in like a more silly rather than a sexual way, but by looking at the font change, they probably do mean it sexually.
