Friends doesn't show correct #s' of friends total

Simple. In the Friends page on the Roblox website, the number (#) of friends doesn’t show anything but “0” / “Zero”, which is confusing for new and present users that are viewing the friends page or searching for a friend to join.

Mainly happens here, should show “0” as the value.

How to reproduce:

  • Go onto the Roblox website.
  • Head over to the “Friends” page.
  • See the # of friends you have + friends on Home.

Using Google Chrome, Windows 10 Home Editions if anyone is wonderng.

Can confirm… Happening for me too:

I am also using Windows 10 Home Edition with my Google Chrome up to date (updated earlier today). Anyone know whats up with the friends page  ? Additionally, I tested it with both my BTR on and off, same result with the false display of 0 friends.

I can reproduce this on Android 11, latest app version:

Do you know when the fix will be out? AFAIK, it doesn’t affect me apart from making me annoyed that it doesn’t say 44.

I am not sure if this is related but my following count is incorrect:

I follow 7 people but Roblox shows that I follow 3. Can’t just Roblox count how many cards there are and display the number based off that?

@Daw588 I’ve seen something similar with a banned user, but I thought it was just because he was terminated. Seems like ROBLOX’s Friends/Following/Followers list is somewhat broken ._.

Update: My friends list is now showing 50 occasionally (takes a few refreshes to get it to show 50)…

List: image

Home page: image

Clearly says 44 on home page, but my friends list is either 0 or 50.

Update: Figured out it only displays 50 when I switch back to followers, friend requests, or following then back to Friends.

Update 5:40 PM EST: Tried logging in and back out again, no luck. Oh well…

None of the people that I followed got banned nor terminated so I am not sure why my count is completely messed up for “following”. When I followed less people before I had like -4 following, which is very weird, and this issue is happening for months.

I also don’t understand why in first place Roblox stores the number of following instead of actually counting them. I could just count them like this:

document.getElementsByClassName("hlist avatar-cards")[0].childNodes.length

It will return 7, which is correct. for page; it won’t return for all pages number
They do that because of pages, but they should still somehow count them on server instead of returning saved value.

The bug is still there, and can still reproduce as of this posting. Looks like the fix will be here in a while.

Yeah, it’s been here for the past 3 days without any updates. I just didn’t want to be rude by bumping this. Again, it doesn’t really affect us since we can just view the amount of friends we have on our profile page or home page.

Mhm, it’s not that much of a deal, really. It’s just uncomfortable to see my friends counts as 0 when I have more than that.

Greetings, sorry to bump this thread but I could confirm this is happening with my current device.

  • iPhone Xs Max

The first image, shows that the total calculations of my friends is wrong, because my total friends are currently 57 people, however, the number in the friends list, show a different number, like 114.

If I also go on the friend’s list by pressing “Friends”, I’d see the number of my friends as “0” despite the fact, that there’s people in my friend’s list.

But when? As of now it is still happening and effecting most users. p.js:1 got blocked by my blocker, not sure if this has anything related to this but the folder has no contents, whatever was there probably got deleted by my blocker.

It also happens in the Microsoft Store version.

This happened to me earlier

I have around 25 or so friends.

I also noticed some other problems, such as friend’s images on the Friend page and Profile page taking an unusually long time to load. Everything else loaded fine.

I’m getting this bug as well, I am supposed to have 33 friends on my list, but have 50 instead…? This is an odd bug for sure!

This seems to be spontaneous for me but often enough in occurrence. I can vouch that this bug occurs for me.

Has this been fixed yet? Still shows as 0 friends for me still on my friends list.
